I met him during the 600 weekend and he's been my favorite driver since he best Kyle Busch at Darlington in 2020. Can't believe he's taking this ride at JGR, but I'd love it even more if he campaigned to bring back the 18.

It’s actually really easy to hate this guy if you have ever placed a bet on this guy ever. He is not a great driver I tried to root for him but he just hasn’t given me anything to root for and especially when I have placed tons of bets on him and he manages to screw me over.

I've always liked Briscoe. As a Ford fan I hate to see him get out of a Ford, but I'm happy that he's getting a great opportunity like this! He deserves a great ride, I really think he will be able to show how talented he really is.

Yea that'd make alot of sense with them winning the last 2 Cup championships and sweeping all three series last year! Penske is getting their feet back under them, Front Row has been making strides and Brad has resurrected Roush!! I'd say Ford isn't going anywhere!

Dodge had already announced they were leaving because they weren't having much success and teams were already switching manufacturers...such as Penske switching back to Ford where they've won 3 Championships since. Brad winning the title with Dodge in their last season was very surprising and unforeseen...they hit on something late in the season that helped propell them to the championship. Dale Jr even talked about it on his podcast this last week.

I hope Bell gets an earful like "Come on man" and maybe a refresher media training session lol, but don't let this change anything seriously and just move forward and make a joke about it on the announcement like maybe coach looking over at Bell in the room and say "You want the honors or can I?" when it is time to say it officially.

No harm no foul really in this situation because it’s not like Gibbs is hiring someone out from under another team. He’s a free agent and Truex is retiring

Well Briscoe won’t be racing 410’s if he’s racing for Old Man Gibbs so he better enjoy the dirt while he can if it ends up being a fact and not a rumor.

I wasn’t the highest on chase hopping for the JGR, but in all reality he’s earned it and came into cup right as SHR became to tank. This is absolutely a big break for him

Sounds like Chase dropped a pretty big clue. “I Don”t know if Tony called coach or coach called Tony”.

I'm glad my favorite driver will be in a competitive ride. I was at Briscoe's PHX win in 2022.

@fullsendoutdoors9435 Bullshit. You obviously haven't seen how much of a downfall the team has had since 2021. SHR has only won 4 races from 2021 to now, and it's almost been two years ago since the organizations last one.

Time for JGR to bring back the 18 for 2025, and say goodbye to the JGR 19 in Cup, because it’s not the same without the iconic JGR 18 since Busch left the team, and I think Briscoe if he’s 100% confirmed to join JGR next season since SHR is pretty much gone after November, then he’ll be the perfect driver to bring back that iconic 18 to the Cup Series that guys like Bobby Labonte and my childhood favorite Kyle Busch did in the past, the 19 isn’t as iconic for JGR despite its moments with MTJ and Edwards

I wish jgr wouldn’t share all the iconic paint schemes and make it to where we can connect each driver with a paint scheme instead of seeing 3 different guys run the yahoo or interstate scheme

@@HTV315 MARS company doesn’t sponsor Busch or any driver now. 18 has been with JGR since the beginning of the organization, well before MARS company started that sponsorship. JGR 18 car has been with: Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, J.J. Yeley, and Kyle Busch.

What’s with the future Gibbs drivers having their announcements leaked by other drivers.First Austin Hill leaked that Creed was going to Gibbs after the RCR Xfinity debacle at Martinsville last year, now Bell possibly just leaked that Briscoe was joining Gibbs.

Seems like JGR PR team is just slow. Like they want to make sure everything is lined up before making an announcement. Not just driver signed, but driver signed, crew chief signed, sponsor for majority of the races signed then make the announcement. Were as other teams make their announcement for each of the pieces.

I hope one day Haley takes over Brad’s 6 when he decides to retire, considering RWR is alliances with RFK, that route seems so fitting.

Coach knows talent. Chase is going to be a factor soon in this sport!

​@@RoastBeefSandwichSame brother. Love chase but I've always rooted against JGR. They're the only team I dislike. I don't like David Wilson or TRD, so it's very hard to cheer for a Toyota. But I'll be happy for chase if he gets success. But no way in heck would I buy JGR merch. I could never support JGR after all the tantrums Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin have pulled over the years with full support from Gibbs.

A good driver and next year good equipment.

JGR let Busch race an unlimited amount of Truck and Xfinity races that mostly were unrelated to JGR. I don't think it couldn't be something that could be worked out at this point with the amount of races Larson races at Hendrick.

JGR doesn't let Bell do anything, doubt it would be any different for Briscoe. Bell said before all his 'extra' racing was done through Coy. The only net positive for the dirt side I could possibly see is TRD continuing to develop their engine with Briscoe's team if that were to continue. I think Roth is one of a very few that run a Toyota engine on dirt.

Great news for Briscoe he is a top guy, however mr.gibbs unfortunately not a fan of his drivers in sprint cars.

The only positive I could see with Briscoe going to JGR as a dirt racing snob is TRD helping his team with engines so Karter Sarff can continue to race for him.

Chase better enjoy that sprint, he get at jgr and that will end. Kinda shocked he’s going there on that fact alone.

He did a interview last week talking about scaling back all his extra racing stuff because of having twins on the way and wanting to spend as much time as possible with the family.. That was the confirmation I needed about going to Gibbs when we know coach doesn't allow it lol.

Confirming he’s no longer going to be racing a sprint car after Bloomington.

Briscoe is a good dude but he won’t do anything at JGR. He may win 1 race every 2 years but he won’t be a serious threat. He brings sponsorship and that’s it

I don’t hate him. But he’s pretty much a boring guy. Tony must have made a call to Gibbs for his boy.

Sad thing is all the talent SHR has and then you have bubba Wallace who should be replaced by one of these guys. But his skin color will keep him in that ride even though he doesn’t perform.

Certainly understand him going to JGR but he's been a Ford driver all these years. I'm sure Ford tried to keep him. I am a big fan but will never root for a Toyota driver. Best of luck to him.
