And another note-he is just 23. I had the privilege of hearing him sing live with Ateez. He brings goosebumps every time. I don’t think there is a live video but Ateez has a song called Celebrate-which is very church gospel in genre and Jongho’s runs and adlibs are flooring. Their Kingdom performances are amazing. His OST Gravity is one of my favorites.

Jongho is even more impressive when he’s singing like this and dancing. He has some covers of other songs, and several OSTs (he did his Gravity OST on karaoke). But his body of work with Ateez is impressive.

For anyone who isn't familliar with jongho or ateez (the group he is in) he is the youngest of the group at 23 years old. I was always impressed by how young he is bcs of his voice.

There just few that give me goosebumps when singing, Jongho ( Ateez) , Hui and Jino ( pentagon) , DK ( Seventeen) , Yoonghoon ( Onewe, Baekhyun ( EXO) and my angel Jonghyun ( Shinee), they have voices that are made in heaven ❤

For me, it’s Eunkwang (maybe) and Changsub from BTOB, Yonghoon from ONEWE, Seoho from ONEUS, DK and Seungkwan from SEVENTEEN, Jongho from ATEEZ, Kihyun from MONSTA X, Chen, Baekhyun, and possibly D.O from EXO, Jungkook from BTS (from BTS, I rank vocals in order: Jungkook, V, Jin, and then Jimin), Hui from Pentagon (tbh I’m not too familiar with the other vocalists in Pentagon so that’s why I only mentioned Hui), and possibly Han Seungwoo from VICTON. I can’t think of anyone else right now, but there’s probably more amazing vocalists out there. And then there’s vocalists or members in other positions that can still sing well like Key and Taemin maybe from SHINee, (I’d say Minhyuk aka Huta from BTOB slayed on his solo song BOOM despite being a rapper), New and some other THE BOYZ members, Heeseung from ENHYPEN, Yedam (now ex Treasure member), Haechan from NCT 127 and NCT DREAM, maybe some A.C.E members, and Keeho from P1Harmony, but at least for me, the singers I mentioned in the beginning are the first god tier vocals that come to mind and that could represent whatever generation they come from. And actually Keeho and Haechan could probably fit in with the vocalists listed at the very top

Jongho is the best singer in the Kpop industry nowadays. What a tecnique he has. He makes it look easy

Immortal Songs II is a South Korean competition show. Typically, they choose a well-known artist with longevity and invite several artists to remake/cover that artists songs. Sometimes they have other themes. This was a vocal Kings episode, so they weren't restricted to one artist. They had soloists from all 4 kpop generations with Jongho being the youngest and not a soloist. He did very well, especially as he said he's always nervous when he does solos because he's used to being on stage with his 7 older members. His group, ATEEZ, was on the show again last night, and I believe they won the episode. Immortal Songs 2 is a great show for finding performances to evaluate since they require live singing (though vocal backing tracks are allowed). Previously, you watched Jongho sing Love Poem with BtoB's Eunkwang. One of my favorite Immortal Songs performances was for a Chuseok episode (kind of like Thanksgiving) with a family theme. Eunkwang fulfilled his dream of singing with his mom who had sung in a choir for some time--it was beautiful!

You also have to keep in mind though that he performed this with a cold!!!He’s amazing-unmatched in his generation, in my opinion. So happy you guys reacted to him and that you had a lot of great things to say about his singing. 💗

There's actually an "It's Live" version of Ateez' "Turbulence" which is kind blowing beautiful. Their live vocals just send me to heaven and they truly work together in such an amazing way. If you haven't already reacted to that one, it would be great to hear what you think. ❤😊

immortal songs is a pretty intense singing competition in south korea. it can be somewhat rare for a lot of idols to be personally invited on because they do 100% live singing and its hard for idols sometimes. seventeen has been on twice, and ateez too!! (edit: atz has been on many times and became the FIRST idol group to EVER get so many wins on immortal songs. theyre always judged so highly when it comes to industry experts) jongho was the youngest among this episode, all highly trained singers and jongho was dubbed the king of high notes. he's insanely talented and has a beautiful voice 🩷

Everytime Jongho sings he gives me goosebumps. He's just that talented. A powerhouse vocalist. They poured all the vocal talent into him. And he does it effortlessly.

Jongho is amazing and he is great at ripping fruit on half with his bare hands. I love Ateez. DK from Seventeen and Hui from Pentagon are the best in the industry. A duet by DK and Hui would knock our socks off!

I didn't see anyone mention it, but maybe someone did, but you have seen Jongho before. He was one of the three singers on "Love Poem" from Kingdom with Eunkwang from BTOB and Seungmin from Stray Kids. He is incredible and so insanely talented.

I am not a singer, I will never be a singer, but I WILL be here every single time you react to Jongho. Us fans of course are always saying stuff like "best 4th gen vocalist", "strongest singer in kpop", etc., but hearing how much you both love his voice and compliment his tone and technique, as outside opinions, really is different. So proud of him

A bit embarrassed to say that I use to openly disregard kpop. My daughter kept introducing me to different groups but her fav is Stray Kids. One day we were watching kingdom and I heard Jongho’s voice from Wonderland performance. Game over! No going back. Jongho is top 10 in my entire list of singers forgetting genre. Well done Jongho!!❤

This is why I instantly fell in love with Jongho's voice the very first time I heard him. I also loved watching this video because I feel like I learned a lot and I tried some of the techniques and exercises right away and the difference left me speechless. I've been wanting to sing more but I have vocal paralysis on my left vocal cord so I struggle a lot. Also I don't know if you've reacted to them yet but you should check out Forestella. I like Jongho's voice. He doesn't really use raspy voice that much compare to other Kpop singers. I was in a college choir and has been joining national competitions alot and we don't use raspy voice. That's why I like about him. He always sings in a full resonant voice.

I am glad that you also pointed out his jaw tension and the ability to "whoop" or let go while hitting high notes/belting. I find myself worrying that he may be putting a lot of stress on his vocal chords while singing all the very high notes most of the time in Ateez songs. I went to their concert in Seoul back in April and was completely stunned by his live vocals! He's so powerful and managed to sound very full during the almost whole 3h concert!. I was able to feel his voice resonating and it was beautiful. Recordings can't just compare. I am actually glad that professionals think he's doing an overall good job. I am proud of him and happy that he's now able to showcase his vocals outside of group promotions. Thank you again for the video! :)

I'm a totally amateur singer who has gotten into music since forever but only started getting interested in learning how to sing properly around a year ago because of ATEEZ, because of Jongho. Being a person with zero knowledge about musical terms, skills, types of voices etc., I tried to learn a lot through KZread videos since I don't have the time to find a local vocal coach yet (plus I wanna sing well without hurting my throat for karaoke sessions 🤭).
