Charlotte Tilbury Bejewelled Eyes To Hypnotise Holiday 2020 Palette Swatches & Try-On

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The jewel in #CharlotteTilbury's #Holiday2020 crown is possibly the #BejewelledEyestoHypnotise palette, a collection of 4 trios (12 shadows) color-coordinated to give you 4 different looks.

Love Glow
Dream Glow
Seduce Glow
At S$130 in Singapore, this is only slightly more expensive than her usual quads ($90-92), so it's definitely much better value if you're in the market for some of her usual Hollywood glamour. However, this may not be suited for everyone.
In this video, I swatch each of the shades and apply 4 separate eye looks using each prescribed trio so you can see how they look and whether they suit your taste or not!

The holiday season usually means an onslaught of colorful palettes. Here's one of the Holiday 2020 release from Charlotte Tilbury, her bejewelled palette (which I like to call the "yum palette" cos the color trios look like Caramel, Cranberry, Sugar Plum and Chocolate rather than jewels, LOL). Have you tried CT palettes and if no, would you consider one of these larger palettes for the better value?

I am 66 yrs old and I love Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows because they do not emphasize the wrinkles on my eye lids, even though they are so shimmery. There is just something about her formula that is emollient & never looks dry or powdery. I hear so many reviewers warn those with mature eyelids not to use them. As someone with very mature lids, as say they are magic for older eyes.

Thanks so much for sharing Jane! Really glad to hear your experience with these! I must have been looking at a couple of people who had poorer lighting or application in this case. Very glad to know these work!

Loved the eye looks you made here. I think the 3rd eye look looks flaterring on you.

Thanks Irene!! Yeah plummy looks are actually quite "neutral" cos they have both blues and reds, and that trio has nice color contrast!

Excellent review taking into consideration various skin tones. Love your presentation style too, with minimal talking to focus on each look! Glad others such as Jane are encouraged to share their views because I also fall into the "mature" skin category haha!

Hi Rachel, sorry for missing your comment previously! Yeah, I totally love hearing back from all of you - especially when there are different experiences. It really helps me to adjust my opinions and consider different skins and needs!

I think the "muddiness" you're talking about is how her eyeshadows are intended to look. I don't personally have this palette, but I love the two quads I have because they blend seamlessly into each other and its fool proof blended look without a lot of effort. I don't think her eyeshadow is meant to create very defined eye looks. I enjoy the quads for days that I don't want to spend a lot of time constructing a look, and I just throw a bunch of eyeshadows on

I totally get what you mean! I just meant to point out that you wouldn't get the very defined colors once they blend together, but I should have pointed out that it works for softer seamless looks. Maybe "muddy" sounds unintentionally harsh, hahahaha. I do like the plum trio. Thanks for sharing your experience! :D

This only has one plum, which has some red in it, so it's actually surprisingly wearable! I think last year's palette was a bit harder to pull off haha!

Nice review! I'm on the fence about this palette. On one hand I like Charlotte Tilbury's eye shadow formula but the color selection is lacking some depth for my complexion. I wish the purple trio was more vibrant. Loved all the looks you did especially the last one! What pointed brush were you using on the outer lid and lash line?

Hey Denise! That was a Japonesque pencil/smudger brush I got off Amazon years ago. But you should be able to use any pointy pencil brush from anywhere for that same effect!

Hi Jas, that's a MAC 227 fluff brush! You can also find a similar large blender shape from Laura Mercier, depending on which is easier to get hold of for you!

Hi Joanne! That's a MAC 227 large fluff! It's fantastic for a light wash or blending out color. Soft but not too floppy. I THINK they discontinued it recently though. :( The next closest that I like is Laura Mercier All Over Eye Color Brush. I use these 2 interchangeably.
