LKY is amazing. But will not be compared to my Tian He. Tian He is more than 3000 trillion times faster and smarter than Einstien and Hawkins。 You need prople like him to run a successful government today not a clown like D Trump or a think he is relevant today 93 year old mentally dried up bag of bones Dr M. To succeed today, you must know how not to outlive your usefullness.GOD IS GREAT. IN HIM YOU TRUST.

He did not have the vision or humility to say i screwed up and adopt market economy. It would be another 30 years and a balance of payment crisis for India to change its course towards market economy. Deng Xiopeng did this when he saw the spectacular results in Singapore even though he was from the old guard. Pity we did not have our Den Xiopeng then.

LKY was an insecure bully tyrant who colluded with the Japanese Imperial Army in WW II to gain control over the Singaporean people. He happily used torture caning against his fellow males as a way of consolidating his iron fisted grip over them. He installed his family in government positions effectively turning the governing of Singapore into a family business. He was no different than Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot...all self-serving bully tyrants

Charlie Rose has a lot to learn from this senior statesman in his interview, he is going to benefit enormously personally after this visionary politician from Asia presented his view on C.R perceived new world order in his shows. He should be thankful LKY agreed to appear and give him an invaluable lesson on world affairs. There are enough posts praising the great LKY, and rightfully so. Let's take a moment to acknowledge this great interviewer, who not only ask hard questions to squeeze his respected interviewee into taking stances on the many sensitive issues discussed, but also is able to stop himself anytime to let the great man speak his thoughts. What a great interviewee, what a great interviewer.

That just shows how low the standard of western interviewers has become, they are being called “great” when they don’t interrupt their guests because almost all of them do that when their guests don’t say anything they want to hear, that speaks volume about their standard.

Unfortunately now we see many country leader is leading like a shipping company rather than country . Lost of humanity , commercially benefit . Hope there is more talented people with good intention to lead a country . There is no permanent of life , but to see, look ,listen , learn and analyse from the past noble leader. Around 11:40 Why are Western nations so eager to pit India and China against each other? Can't there be a possibility that both can cooperate like how EU and US does? I do not want my country to be someone else's pawn in containing the rise of Chinese. India is growing at its own pace and China is at its own. India can do things a lot better but like Mr. Lee said, India is at an inherent disadvantage of not being a homogeneous culture like China. India will deal with this problem in its own way. Give both of them space to grow. Also, *Democracy is not inherently better*. The current Chinese government system works for China but it will not in India. Democracy works in India because it is the only way for India to keep different cultures happy and remain united as a nation. Democracy may not be ideal for China because China can grow faster on a more authoritarian government that can take decisions faster and easier. Different cultures...different government. Its not a difficult concept to grasp people!

Well said ! What I am thinking is the western culture never has concept of harmony or this concept takes no place in their political life. Behind the propaganda of "democracy" , there lies the deep illusion of white supremacism and disgusts the rest of the world, taking present Philippine president's accusation to the hypocrisy of US for example.
