using both chest voice and head voice is often known as mixed voice. but it doesn’t necessarily require this closed mouth technique.

Justin Perfect You misunderstand what having perfect pitch means. He can tell exactly what frequency notes are at and knows that they are, but singing them are another story. Someone with perfect pitch definitely has an easier time singing on pitch because of their excellent ears but that doesn’t mean they can sing perfectly. Also Charlie has gone on record to say he loves using auto tune because it allows his voice to sound the way he wants it to so no he cannot sing perfectly just because of his perfect pitch.

One of my favorite songs, and this is a killer cover. You do an acoustic cover and you’d tear it up

@@MelodyWithYuvi you keep saying that when its not true... Closed mouth is for the timbre of his voice. Opening up with falsetto makes it way more piercing and more opera like. Not ideal for his style. He ALWAYS sings falsetto with a closed mouth just like nick jonas. If he mixes or belts he will open his mouth more.

He's so incredibly talented! It's like he was born to make music! Covers don't usually make me cry but this one sure did. You're incredible, Charlie! ♥️

is he tho? He has like no lower range. And to be fair I think this classical (and very old and very flawed) voice classifications are dumb and pointless in pop music. However, going by the very arbitrary and not well defined definition of what a tenor is vs what a baritone is, I would say he is like 100% a tenor. I don't hear anything baritoney about him.
