Some days, I undo my "like" of the video, just so I can like it again. Charlie Parr is the best contemporary musician in the US.
Love my tiny cellphone and youtube, often saving me from hopelessness and despair in my reality of old age, illness and near poverty. This guy sings about life , has a sense of ironical humor and is also a good musician giving it all out in each moment. And the other guy, Tony, doesn't stay behind, what a great duo, thanks for sharing with the world, they are a gem!

Hoping and praying for vanishing despair and appearance of good times.
I love all Charlie's live performances on KZread, but this one is especially fun and satisfyingly long for accompanying work. Rob did a great job on sound -- turn it up and go home! Watching Charlie and Tony tap their feet on seemingly entirely different tempos is particularly hypnotic.
I have watched this countless times. This duo is nothing short of magic!

This is my first time, but I've listened to his other videos.
Looks like l will will be spending some time on KZread listening to Charlie Parr and also Tony Polecastro both are great performers, liked his version of Old Blue, and others that he sings.
How have I lived all these years and not known about Charlie.
Spread it around, do!
“We’re gonna play some songs…and then stop.” 😁 Charlie’s so talented, but never loses his sense of humor.

"Bromance" 😂😂
Brilliant.
Fantastic - Charlie's brilliance out distances the world he observes and translates for us.
What a barn burner of a performance!
you guys have inspired me enough to go out and get me a steel slide and some picks, thankyou!
Love the way the sunset was worked into the show's background!
Mole in the Ground and Remember Me...so good
Absolutely love Mr Parr
Came here after Tony’s American Primitive episode. Both Charlie and Tony are great here. I’d sure like to be in Montana and here this.
At 21.30 "Spread it around" one of the most beautiful positive pieces of poetry I have heard in a long time, reminded me of something from Pete Seager or Perhaps Yarbrough or Arlo or even maybe Bob Dylan. Awesome song with a beautiful and much needed hopeful message. Peace to all of you.

Honestly, I'd like a cleaned-up version of 1922. That sounded amazing with the extra slide guitar!

Hi Allan, glad you enjoyed the show! We did multitrack that set so a live album would be possible but there is not currently a plan to do that. However you can find out more about Charlie on his website: www.charlieparr.com/

@@Blue_3rd As an aside, I witnessed Charlie Parr performing at Norwich on Sunday last. We actually had a short conversation before the show which was superb. Excellent show all through, he did play a lot of older stuff, possibly by my tastes having an modest effect.....!!!!!!

Anaconda,Remember me if I forget
The song that begins at 16:20 is my favorite so far. I love the story. I think you are saying "Remember me if I forget." It would make more sense if you said "Remind me if I forget." Maybe this is what you are saying. I don't mind when I can't always understand a singer. Perfect pronunciation is not the art of song. You could make a subtle switch of this line. You could switch between "Remember me by this," "Remember them for this," and "Remind me when I forget." The verses you have are powerful story telling. I love the song. This song will rise to ballad status with a few more verses. Surely your elders taught you more things than the the couple of things you mention, but definitely stay with the theme of honoring the values received from you elders. Okay, back to listening.

Agree, love this song. I think he is playing with the idea of remind me vs remember me in the lyrics - partly the idea that if the narrator is gone the story should continue.

From the perspective of someone that has watched a loved one die from Alzheimer's, I'd say the words have great depth of meaning as they are. Remember your parents, remember your grandparents, even if they forget your face, even if they forget themselves. They have lived their whole life for it to come down to this (you taking care of them), and it's not too much to ask, for you to remember them each day. Remember me if I forget (you, me, us)
