A lot of people got caught on the back foot during this current outbreak. Tragic circumstances, to be sure. Remember it's just you vs. you yesterday; this is the only real competition to focus on. Sounds like the lessons already are sticking so keep at it. We all could likely do a little more of the 'reading and thinking,' part and maybe we'll get it so we can minimize risk going forward. Much to learn, myself especially. So many different and viable strategies in trading out there. Technically "overweight," in Tech. companies, substantial TSLA bias and long position, slight red in March, currently green. The fed pump is wild, hanging on to the rocket and adding when appropriate. (@Marcos Rippel wouldn't it be 'crypto?' The misspelling/typo lead me to some unfounded concerns about your returns, accuracy, etc. Happy to withdraw critique yet I assume mistakes in comm. propagate to other aspects. I'm all for 1% net in Crypto as hedge but I am behind on reading/mitigating my blindspots surrounding the mechanics. Again, great idea as hedge not so sure about using it as main growth vehicle. Also I'm ignorant in investing so due diligence alert!)

What do you think about hyperinflation? I am seriously concerned about it. So much debt to be repaid, ongoing deficits, money needed to deal with corona. It seems to me that sooner or later governments will print money which will make money worth less. Remember bonds are a promise to recieve currency, so they are risky imo. Also what yeild do I get. What choice do I have other than to hold stocks ? Maybe do what graham described and be 50:50 stocks and cash. It seems so hard. Help me!

@@Knowledge.to_Come the easiest Inefficient market investing is net-net investing. Net-net is a value investing technique developed by Benjamin Graham in which a company is valued based solely on its net current assets. Net net focuses on current assets, taking cash and cash equivalents at full value, then reducing accounts receivable for doubtful accounts, and reducing inventories to liquidation values. Net-net value is calculated by deducting total liabilities from the adjusted current assets. When a viable company is identified as a net-net, the analysis focused only on the firm’s current assets and liabilities, without taking other tangible assets or long-term liabilities into account. Advances in financial data collection now allow analysts to quickly access a firm’s entire set of financial statements, ratios, and other benchmarks. Essentially, investing in a net-net was a safe play in the short term because its current assets were worth more than its market price. In a sense, the long-term growth potential and any value from long-term assets are free to an investor in a net-net. Net-net stocks will usually be reassessed by the market and priced closer to true value in the short-term. Long-term, however, net-net stocks can be problematic. This way, you will get much cash flow in short term. This will only work if you have small capital to work with. It's problematic for you if you have big money. If you already have big money, invest like buffet now.

No, no. Crypto is mainly used for money laundering and a market for rich and dumb people to speculate. By inefficient markets, they're referring to businesses too small for institutions to invest, with little or no analyst coverage. They're talking about obviously misplaced securities. For example, businesses trading below working capital, or less than normalized revenue or gross profit, or a growth rate significantly greater than the PE or EBITDA multiple. That's the sort of thing they're referring to.

All the retards and sheep believing the mass media bullshit narrative that cryptocurrency is dead? Gtfo out of here just because bitcoin isn't being searched (on the Web) the same way it was when it peaked at 20k.. Name an asset class that has outperformed bitcoin? (this is after the crash from 20k) I respect Buffet but I'm not afraid to call things the way they are = he's wrong and knows nothing about why it will drive demand and utility. Bitcoin went up just about 400% in the the year 2019 alone. Slowly but surely the market and industry is maturing, we have defi (decentralised finance) we have wallet addresses and platforms' user bases growing consistently.. We have Multinational banks pouring billions into R&D. Hell we even have New Zealand making it legal for an employer to pay your wages in cryptocurrency. Buffet was king of the hill for a long time, he's over that hill. He will not live long enough or have enough brain function to see how wrong he will be in a few years. He doesn't care he's had his fun in the sun. Dollar cost average in and play the cycles, or be left behind. Fucking noobs.

He's human. But he is correct pertaining to bitcoin. Yes - bitcoin has value. Real value. But the way we earn money via bitcoin is all wrong. We earn money in Bitcoin by buying it at a certain price and sell it at a higher price - that kind of model is full of scams, speculation, and gambling. The better methodology was to use bitcoin in the same way we use currency or coins at its most basic. You earn money via earnings from services in creating one coin. You use bitcoin to purchase assets or sell assets in ways that are not available in the conventional model. In short, you use bitcoin in the same you use currency, in the same way you use farms - utilizing its inherent value and profit from it.

Imagine going to buy a house,or some other large purchase. Would you trust a currency as volatile as Bitcoin to be used in your everyday life? I don’t believe so. It’s also not backed by the government, so there’s not much confidence in the currency. There’s also no way to determine the intrinsic value of the currency. Plus, it’s nowhere near Warren’s circle of competence anyway. He’s a value investor, what financial statements can you read to determine a fair price?
