Charlie Munger (Audio)
Ғылым және технология
We sit down with the legendary Charlie Munger in the only dedicated longform podcast interview that he has done in his 99 years on Earth. We’ve gotten to have some special conversations on Acquired over the years, but this one truly takes the cake. Over dinner at his Los Angeles home, Charlie reflected with us on his own career and his nearly 50-year partnership at Berkshire Hathaway with Warren Buffett. He offered lessons and advice for investors today, and of course he shared his speech on the virtues of Costco once again (among other favorite investments). We’re so glad that we got the opportunity to record and share this with you all - break out your notebooks, tune in, and enjoy the singular wit and wisdom of Charlie Munger.

Rest In Peace Mr. Charlie Munger. Legendary Interview guys.
I miss him so much. I grew up without a parental figure. He’s helped this poor little peruvian live a better life. Thank you Charlie . For everything.
RIP Mr Charlie Munger, I listened to this podcast last week not knowing it was going to be his last. However your lessons on life and investing will continue to stay on and and they will carry us all over our lifetimes. My hats off to you Mr. Munger.

I don't think anyone realises how quick he is for almost 100 years. Its insane, he must have been scary smart at 30.

I think he would argue that he actually was completely stupid at 30. "we're old to soon and wise to late" - Munger.
OMG. This one on one interview is so rare from Charlie these days. Thank you guys!

Great questions. So much to learn. One of the rare interviews with Charlie. Looking for one with Buffett as well. Even with Ted and Todd.

I wish there were more such podcasts with Mr..Munger !!
Great job guys ! Thank you 😊
I just have so much respect for Charlie and Warren - they have remained so humble and have laughed all the way through their careers with a great sense of humour yet we all know how astute and super-sharp they actually are. Lovely guys with big hearts, true gentlemen indeed. Here in the UK, these guys would be knighted.
More interviews of legendary investors like this please!
This was awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you.
I’m telling folks that Acquired is the new goto pod.
I could listen to Charlie all day long. In fact, I think I will.
why did you guys cut out most of the good stuff. I am assuming the actual meeting with Charlie lasted more than 5 hours but you cut it short to just 1 hour. I wish you didn't cut out so much good stuff. I hope you release the parts you cut out in some form or manner soon. I would be incredibly grateful and so will other members of your audience. I am asking this especially since Charlie Munger is someone, everyone should have a fair chance of getting to listen to every single word of his. Every single word is worth its weight in Gold.
feeding millions implicitly and explicitly ... heaven is happy for the new guy ❤
RIP Mr. Munger
What a beautiful mind.

Thank you to both the interviewers and Charlie for producing this content. Charlie, among many people talk about investing as being incredibly challenging and needing to see something that others don't. If you want record beating returns over an extended period of time then I would agree. However if you could find a well-run company that produces 12± ROIC while keeping their debt low and has a long Runway with high probability of success and you size correctly you probably are going to do okay. Investors keep talking about beating the market but that's really not the goal of investing. Take a look at smaller caps that really are only an option for insiders, management, along with retail investors. Prices are good enough that you should be able to generate 10% a year returns going forward.
Guys, can you link the three part Berkshire series in the comments or in the description, cannot find it in your videos or playlist section.

Rest in peace. May your wisdom and the memory of you live forever
You guys have the best business podcast. Is your other channel on KZread? I don’t usually see it. It should be. This is where I listen to all my stuff. Even if it’s audio only. It’s easier to find new stuff, and I like the UX. I’m 38 so probably your core demographic. 🤓
where is the episodes on berkshire ? @acquired
This is special
