As Sowell puts it, if serious about legacy of slavery, you should compare where blacks stood 100 years post slavery to where they stand today 50+ years after the welfare state. Not only is affirmative action not the solution, it is one of the causes of the disparity of outcome.

The number one beneficiaries of Affirmative Action are white women. Not black people. Not Asians, nor Hispanics. White women. I'm not sure affirmative action helped us at all. Further, what has happened in-between the ending of slavery and today? There was a lot that took place. I'll wait.

My mom has always told me about when she was in high school in a small coal mining town in Virginia during desegregation and that before that every black family she knew were the tightest knit families with both parents in the house and the kids were expected to do well in school and then go to college. And they were typically religious. But after desegregation and the welfare system going into play everything changed and suddenly the black fathers were gone and the women were having more babies since they got more money. That was the switch! Suddenly these women who previously were expected to be stay at home moms and living off of the husbands salary and “rules”, found themselves independent.

Besides discussing how n why Asian Americans overall tend to prosper, Charlie Kirk should also discuss, what most people do not know? The "MOST" successful immigrant group based on Medium income, Advanced Degrees, wealth, etc are Nigerians! (most African n Caribbean immigrant communities also achieve similar rates of success)!!!! How are these groups able to prosper in such a "Systemic Racist" society???

@@kelly8107 I'm confused by your comment/reply? 1. The Nigerians, as well as the other immigrants I am referring to have come here legally. 2. Are you misinterpreting my attempt at sarcasm with my last sentence "How are these groups able to prosper in such a 'Systemic Racist' society???" If my attempted sarcasm failed your understanding, I was trying to say 'How are so many people from a traditionally marginalized, disadvantaged, discriminated BIPOC group of individuals who have not only been able to prosper, but also have consistently outperformed any group of individuals, regardless of the criteria used to create some newly discovered collaboration of oppressed and their privileged group of oppressors, or another class of victims that his/herstory has mercilessly erased, overlooked or maybe 🤔 💬 Everyone's a Super Hero Everyone's a Captain Kirk With orders to identify To clarify and Classify Scramble in the summer sky Ninety-nine red balloons go by 🎈 🎈 🎈 🎈 🎈 🎈

I love all kinds of people in this world but I believe everyone should be responsible for themselves! That means don’t break the law, get a job and make a living, raise your children to be valuable members of society and don’t blame everyone else for your problems! I was a white girl who lived in the suburbs on the Midwest where I didn’t have any black kids in my school or neighborhood but I knew plenty of black families since we were military and then we were transferred to the Deep South in Georgia when I was in the second grade where I was suddenly basically a minority in my classes. I found out very quickly that the black kids were the most racist people around! My first really good friend was a black girl and we had sleep overs at each other’s house all the time and I adored her family. They didn’t have a racist bone in their bodies. When I was in high school I started seeing that so many of the black girls were being encouraged by their families to get pregnant because it meant they would get more assistance from the government! I thought that was outrageous! Then later I was a paramedic so I was in every type of neighborhood there was and I always saw black men (young men) in the middle of the day going out to their mailboxes like clockwork every month when it was time to get their checks in the mail and there would be a gaggle of children and babies trailing after them usually not dressed and just in diapers. I was in the projects on a call and a young black girl in the house was extremely curious about me and my job. She confided that she would like to be a doctor or a nurse so she could help the others in her community but her family wanted her to drop out of school and become pregnant asap and that devastated her. I encouraged her to stay true to herself and make her life whatever she wanted it to be. When she graduated from high school with honors I helped her get a full ride grant from the hospital I worked for. That girl is now one of the best doctors in the city!
