The 70's was the best and will always be the best time to grow up. I saw Skynyrd, Charlie, Marshall Tucker, the Allman Bros. when they would play in the small clubs in Atlanta. Between them and just being able to have fun and not get locked up,, it'll never be as good as the 70's. The music will live for ever

I saw him twice at the Georgia National Fair.

Me n my girl just seen him in Marietta, Ohio in September, 2019...holy shit, he can still bring it at 82, my friends seen him in Pittsburgh the year before and were praising the show, they were not wrong, unbelievable show. God bless you Charlie, you have it going on man.

When I was a teenager I had a boyfriend who had the shortest hair, but my God this was his favorite song. RIP PETE HOLLOMAN and CR.

Here is a man that loved what he did. I saw him at the Grand Ole Opry about two or three years ago. He was 80 at that time. This is a man that could have retired, but he was still out there and he was damn awesome.

I have always admired Charlie Daniels. A great man, a great musician, a great Conservative and Christian. Thank you God for giving us Charlie Daniels! :)

RIP Charlie, a voice from my childhood. He was on the radio all the time in the 70s.

I have four cherished items that Charlie autographed from Charlie but most of all when i saw him at a show in Chico ca i was invited into his tour bus and told him about how i got some merchandise i had bought earlier years before got to have a shotof jackwith him and got some photos with him one of my most precious memories of him RIP charlie miss you !

This was Mr. Daniels' best song. Hearing it with the original uncensored lyrics, I couldn't stop myself from singing along.

Mid 90’s my parents and I, would drive to Eufaula lake in ok, to ski. My dad bought Charlie’s greatest hits! And Tom pettys full moon fever! We’d listen to both sides of the cassettes of both albums going, then coming back! Now anytime I hear either albums, I think about all those trips! Awesome memories!!!

Thank you Charlie for representing the small town values that helped shape me. American by birth, southern by the grace of God.

Met Charlie about 30 years ago or so when I was a little boy. He signed a photo for me and it was one of those things I'll never forget. He was a huge animal looking guy whose music I loved, and he talked to me like a man for longer than he had to. Total respect to this fine example of what a man oughta be.

Thanks Mr Daniels for your entertainment. Saw CDB in Asbury Park, Englishtown, N.J.also Rockland Community College in New York. Listened all the time by vinyl or cassette. Favorite song "Its My Life" and "Caballo Diablo". Saw Mr. DiGregorio off stage on board walk in Asbury Park. Said "you guys sound great". He said "thank you"

This song got me through basic training in the military.RIP

Me and my band did this song as one of our covers and we had a BLAST playing it at every small time show we did...TY Charlie...

"I aint asken nobody for nothin, if i cant get it on my own...." This is a lost way of living now days, everybody thinks they are entitled to everything without having to work for it. We have become a lazy, liberal country with no work ethics. I work my ass off everyday to support my family and put food on our table and I never complain because thats what a true man, or woman, is supposed to do.

+Garrick Clark Did he complain about having to work to support him and his own? No. He complained about how every other person feels entitled to the work of others. The work he does. When you grow up and work, to see every other person begging the state to take a cut of what you worked honestly for to feed their lazy entitled mouths, hopefully you'll understand. We live in a society of beggars and crybabies, because that's what the majority supports. Cry and vote a bit harder and you get what you want without having to do anything but sit back and watch. They aren't the ones who have to hold guns to people's heads if they refuse to fund this extortion. So it's all fine and dandy. Leave it to the state to steal the money of honest workers to pay the entitled and you won't have to bat an eye. Just collect that dandy welfare check.

Had the privilege of scratchin' this one off the bucket list this summer. The HIGH lite for me was seeing this young man sing "How Great Thou Art" Single spot, him an the guitar, singin for all of us. Something was in my eye, couldn't focus, but I HEARD.

Nothing wrong with having long hair donating hair to kids that have cancer back in the day you couldn't get a job with long hair things change thank you Charlie for the great music

This was my song. People today don't understand that if you were a "Longhaired Freaker" 49 years ago, many people automatically despised you. It's honestly still weird for me to see police officers with tattoos and business people with longish hair.
