Ward is way better. His freestyles and rebuttals actually have relevant set ups and are layered. Clips will say some random nothingness for the set up just to make the punch rhyme, and its always a basic and lazy rebuttal that comes nowhere close to what Ward or someone like Trez or Bangz does. Clips is the dollar menu of freestyling and rebuttals. Cheap, lazy, and easy.

Bro Charlie is an evil genius. I’m 90% sure the mid round free styles were basically planned pre-buttals to A Ward predicting bars, which he does all the time. A Ward mouths his opponents bars and tries to think out loud of what his opening round rebuttal is going to be. So when he was mumbling “Apollo”, Clips predicted he’d predict Apollo and used “Drago”, which basically killed A Ward’s rebuttal options. You’ll notice the 76ers rebuttal was trash by A Ward’s standards, because Clips “free styles” got him shook. Then the mid round baseball freestyle where Clips was basically responding to A Ward talking during his round was probably pre-written…Ward wasn’t really talking (he usually does a little, so Clips predicted he would), but no one in the crowd could really tell whether he was or wasn’t. Clips is one of the greatest free stylers ever, but I think Ward might actually be better, but Clips knew the way to neutralize him was to take the free style advantage away. Brilliant. 2-1, maybe 3-0 Clips

The one rounder between them was super fire. Ward definitely took that one. However, this one is debatable but their first battle was phenomenal.
