i remember going on it and the room smelling like chocolate (crazy ikr 😂 ) and i miss it like i’d prefer this over how they turned it into alton towers dungeons

actually, the video does not show the full ride experience, there is a pre-show before the boat ride and a pre-show before the elevator.

I have been on it once and I went a second time and I was so exited for this ride... Insert disappointed pikachu face...

Never seen this but it looks fun sad it's gone now.✌✌✌😟😟😟😟😟

Indeed. It was quite scary for smaller kids though.

I miss this so many ,embodies first riding this

The ride may not be as good or memorable as Toyland Tours. But it’s a far more appropriately themed ride in a kids area than the Alton Towers Dungeon, and it was pretty decent too.

Agree. Alton Towers Dungeon should be placed somewhere within the castle in my opinion. It doesn’t fit its current placement.

Wow, I wish I had the opportunity to go on this considering Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of my favoutite movies. I'd make the boat part of the ride faster, maybe have it start off slow but then get gradually faster like in the movie.

It was a great ride. I think the speed was right to enjoy the story, glass elevator was super fun too and very high tech for that time!

The one is Glasgow could of took notes!

They closed it. Right now Alton Towers Dungeon is using this location, also boat ride is still there (obviously rebranded).

I like the ride but it still pisses me off the it replaced toy land tours. Especially since sonic was in the toy land tours ride. 😡

What is this shit??? Go to Blackpool - it's only 120 miles West. Ride "Alice in Wonderland" - then the classic "Valhalla", showing you how to do a PROPER dark wet ride.

Shut for refurbishment.

I don't think they're refurbishing it. They had it closed all last season because they didn't think it was worth to run it. It will remain closed and could remain closed permanently as it has been taken off of Alton Towers' website.
