Charlie XCX sounds flat in certain spots when singing this song. Appears to be lip synching or struggling to sing some of the higher notes. Not impressed. If I did not know it was Charlie XCX and was just listening to the song by itself, I would turn it off immediately. I'd have a very poor impression of the singer. By the way I loved her videos " Superlove" and " Fancy" which I think are her best works so far. In my opinion, she should have got more credit for doing "Fancy" than Izzy Azalea, since most of the lyrics are sung by her. I heard another rendition of "Superlove " by Charlie XCX on Perez Hilton and was not impressed. The notes and rhythm of " Superlove" where in sync but it just did not feel the same than watching her video of " Superlove" The video was well directly and the background music added to her voice more so I thought. Overall, I would probably say Charlie XCX is an average singer who is certainly making her way up. She is definitely better than Izzy Azalea anyday. Maybe rap music is just not my thing but anyway.

your observations, in the way that you described them, make me think she's not actually talented, but is made to look so by highly modified production. maybe you're not really a fan of her, but her record label? think about it ;)

She's a better songwriter than singer I think. She isn't necessarily a bad singer compared to other pop stars in general, but she is definitely among the many that benefits from studio touch ups. Regardless she has her own style though which is a plus.
