Great video, always a fun watch. Charley is certainly a character.
I certainly love my 2019, 411 Himmy. Great little work horse
Great video! Thank you!!
I like you pointed out it don’t have to be 6 months to be an adventure. Most of ours are weekends. Head out and just see where we end up. The new Himalayan looks good. My son has a 2022. Had lots of adventures on it.
Another great video Charley. Really hoping you come back to the Bike Shed LA some day for a Captain's table. Some of us US Shed members would love to meet you in person!
Doing my first 10 day trip this fall exploring the U.S. Southwest! Will be going to all the good spots and happy to be going with a tour company with about 7 other riders. I’ll think I’ll be on the GS 750. Charley, keep putting out excellent content…..big fan. Cheers from NY
Great video Charley, enjoying your content :)
Great job mate
Looking fit, Charley. Keep it up!
Great ride Charley - torn whether to go for the 450 Himalayan or CF Moto 450 or maybe a Tenere which I loved when I tested one. After decades of riding big bikes I want to slow down the pace and give my older bones a rest whilst enjoying the adventure, journey and scenery more.😁
Looks like great fun.
I did a pukka off-road with 'Off the Kerb Adventure Rides' few years back, good people.
I have had the chance to ride this bike for a day on and off the roads. I liked it very much. It is easy to ride and make a lot of fun. And it is cheap, but good. So I think, paid or not, Charlie is right. I agree a 100%. 😊
This is the kind of training I’d love to do. Not much of an off-roader but I also don’t like turning back when on tour.
Love the content, Charlie! Have you had a chance to ride the new RE Super Meteor or Shotgun 650s? The brand is really impressing me with inexpensive, quality, and approachable bikes that seem to be getting lots of new people into riding.
It's a nice looking bike!
I have one on order, I am hoping it arrives before the ABR festival
I'm nearly 50 years old and I have never had a bike licence. The previous Himalayan model is the bike that came closest to getting me to become a biker but I still didn't take the plunge. Seeing this new one is making me itch again. Thanks Charlie 😆

Ypu can pick up a barely used 411 for £2k now. Better starter bike. Lower weight, easier on the throttle, more relaxed ride.

Looking forward to his opinions on it, if he gives them. He hasn’t exactly been praising it so far, except that it has ‘made it’.
What jacket and trousers are you sporting Charley?
I like the bike the only concern iv got is if the ride by wire if it goes wrong or packs up when your far in the wilderness how do you fix it I think a cable might be better at least you can fix a cable I live in Australia a cable would be cheaper to produce as well
Hi Charley Another great video. Haven’t ridden around that area since the 80’s. Brings back some great riding memories. One question: what helmet camera are you using in this video? Slangevar Craig
There's nothing like camping under the stars, five stars that is. :)
Wish I lived closer, but very cool just the same. Good vid C. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
does anyone know what the jacket is that charley is wearing

@@Charley.BoormanI love it! Great looking jacket, I like the design, and a good length to it as well.
If you guys can teach me how to change gear standing up, I'll be straight there.
The only thing missing was a wheelie from Charlie 😂
Charley , why dont you and your twin (ewan McGregor 😁)do another "long way down , up , sideways ,back to front ," journey on a couple of enfield Himalayan ?🤔.......if you do i'm sure my boss lady ( wife , she who must be obeyed 😁)would let me tag along . Peace out ✌
Charlie make a new adventure with ewan pleace
Think nathanthepostman summed up this bike

I really like Nathan but I think he missed the mark with his opinion on this new Himi. I went and test rode one and it is so different to the original and much improved.

☝️ what he said Nathan really has his heart stuck on the old himi. New one is a much better bike the side stand issue and weight he keeps banging on about is such a tiny issue. The bike is no heavier than the old one do you ride around on the side stand? The weight is balanced when moving it's planted and stable, suspension is light years ahead of the old bike, Engine is more versatile and the bike overall is a huge improvement on the old model.

Nathan loves his old bike soo much, that he's not able to enjoy the New one

I agree with you all, I couldn’t watch his video, seemed to keep complaining about trivial matters

Cheers for the mention. I appreciate it wasn't a review to everyone's tastes. But it was off the back of a 1200 mile ride so it wasn't without some deliberation. As I said on the video, it's a great bike and the market will decide if it's a step forward or not.
I was on the edge of my seat when (reminiscent of Graham G-force Jarvis) Charlie boldly manhandled the Himalayan over that snooker table flat unsurfaced road & straight through a gigantic puddle of water 😊
Hey Charlie.
The problem I have is with most British things, is that it's own by foreigners

Don't know what your problem is but ever heard of Triumph motorcycles? Norton ?
@Kevimoto

@@herrdirektor1969 Triumph is British owned, but many of their bikes are manufactured in Thailand with a lot of parts from India. Norton is owned by TVS of India.

@@herrdirektor1969 I think Norton is now owned by Tvs motors, an Indian company.

@@Kevimoto Well you have a point there, but if all would have been made in UK or Europe including parts, the price would be too high for most. Bringing manufacturing back would be my idea, but with subsidies like Chinese companies enjoy. No matter if it is forbidden by complex international agreements. My boxer is built in Berlin, but many parts are from different countries. Welcome to the global age, for now.

Where are the support trucks and staff Mr Borman needs for his journeys?
LOL - paid advertisement RE H450. They’re all but easy to go, give it to a ligh or small beginner. And give them the old. Nough said.

Nice bike, just a shame that so many of them pull to the right, instead of travelling straight, if hands are taken off the bars for just a second.
