Honestly speaking, Oliveiras striking is at an elite level of Muay Thai. I’d like to see him actually compete in a Muay Thai fight. His teeps, stance, low kicks and hooks and straight punches are so technically sound.

Theres a lot of referees that wouldve stopped the fight when Mike was pummelling Olivera, what a fight

I remember watching this live and the happiness I felt when Charles pull off the comeback was amazing still haven’t felt that way after a fight since. What a special fighter his run to the title and his title run makes me feel lucky to have witnessed. Illuminated by god.

Who else would love to watch Chuck vs Yair ???? Oliveira vs Rodriguez They both have exciting fighting styles Yair was fighting 145 tho so he would have to move up to make it happen but that would be so awesome to watch that fight.❤❤❤

Chandler came into this fight ranked number 4 in the lightweight division despite only having one ufc fight prior to this. Against Dan hooker who was ranked 6 at the time. Don’t really know why the UFC rank him so high after just one win. If anything he should be ranked 6 because he hadn’t beaten anyone ranked higher than that since.

These men could be in Special Forces.

You would think with all that muscle mass Chandler would have taken Charles out...he played all of his cards on finishing him in the first, but lost. Charles with a good chin, and Mike with glass.

Chandler lost his focus after the first round because he thought he had it in the bag. He survived with Oliveira on his back (no one ever does that), then proceeded to beat the brakes off him until the bell. Charles ok the other hand locked in and came with precision the next round.

If it wasn't for Michael Chandler being so much on steroids and it being not fair and very dangerous for the other fighters I would be really frustrated with him being out all this time because he is a very entertaining fighter and all this time has been wasted for him to shine in his prime. The dude could have definitely become something if he worked on his fight IQ. Just like in this fight he made at least a few mistakes that costed him position and the fight

He was coming off his winning streak just fought for the belt and still was a top contender which Charles dismantled, A Dustin who was at the top of his game after losing to khabib hungry for the belt who just came off 2 victory’s over Connor and Dan hooker, Gaethje they may of been defeated by khabib but they was hungrier and lost the same way to Charles

Both Justin and Dustin still had PTSD from their Khabib domination and strangulation and were scared to give Charles the Paul Felder style GnP inside Charles' guard once they dropped him. They both could have ended Charles if it wasn't for their nightmares of Khabib manhandling them.
