Well, I have a whole new respect for Charles after watching him perform his duties. They seemed so happy at first. If Camilla would’ve bowed out, they may have been fine. I loved watching them be happy, but my heart will forever be broken for the loss of that precious lady.

I’m around the age Diana was in this documentary, and I’m in awe at how skilled she was at her role.

Diana was a beautiful well rounded lady and human being. No one can match her. So sorry no one protected her like she should have. Shameful. Now she is an angel in heaven watching over her legacy her babies William and Henry and heirs...

She was such a natural with people So real and charming and ever so sweet. Sadly missed. x If only that love worked... such a pity- what a dynamic power couple. One thing is evident now is how she sought his attention and approval.

She was so pretty. I don’t think we will witness another one of her kind. Rest in power, Princess Diana.

There was no one better -- for the public side of the job of Princess of Wales -- than Diana. Talk about charm and sweetness personified. I guess she could turn it on and off, but when it was on... Wow!

My husband and I figured this marriage was doomed...and gave it 5 years MAX....Obviously the CC cuff links made us miss by 4 years and 364 days. How could someone do this to a young woman?

Diana was very sweet and he probably loved her big heart. Every marriage has problems. Theirs were HUGE. And they couldn't reconcile them.

She was such a natural with people! Just seeing her interact with people from all walks of life is so awesome.

To anyone too young to remember, or anyone who was living outside the UK, this is the Diana I remember from back in the day.

@@kimberlybarry4744 ....With Charles so established with Camilla, there was no motivation or hope of developing anything of depth with Diana, or with any other woman for that matter. Any bride he chose would have been cast aside eventually, but the entire mess could have been avoided had there been honesty all around from the start. It is incredibly wrong to mislead a partner into marriage, string them along, then expect the full acceptance of another woman's presence. Well before Diana, there were young women to whom Charles proposed who very likely knew of Camilla and wisely declined to become the next Queen Consort. It was the permanent presence of Camilla that was the deciding factor in their refusal, I think.

Charles and Diana were mismatched. They were not right for each other. Diana had the press's approval because she could sell more newspapers and magazines with her photograph on the front cover. She was the media's darling. They made her what she was, Princess of Wales, put her on a pedestal and then destroyed her.

I really love it when Charles kisses Diana just like that..moments like these are to be treasured.

Diana herself said she and Charles were in love at the start of their marriage. In a rare moment of selfless logic, she wanted her children to know they were born out of love. You can see the chemistry between the couple, during their first few years of marriage. Diana broke up Will Carling's marriage to wife Julia before their 2nd wedding anniversary. And she wasn't even in love with Carling - she invited him to Kensington Palace on two occasions and gave him oral sex. For that cheap thrill, two grotty sexual encounters with a celebrity she bragged to her pals about, the princess wrecked a marriage. That and her affairs with other married men including her husband's old friend Oliver Hoare, shows you exactly how much respect she had for the institution of marriage! Diana was a brazen hypocrite, crucifying Charles and Camilla, while keeping all her multiple grubby affairs hidden from the media and the public. Diana's death was perfectly timed to preserve her false image as 'the queen of hearts', just before the internet age, a massive level of scrutiny that would have exposed her true, manipulative, narcissistic, self-obsessed self. I was a reporter on a national newspaper in the 'nineties - I know all about the real Diana. The public would have known too, had she lived!

It still makes me so sad and angry 21 years later. Charles does not deserve to be King, no one wants Camilla to be Queen. I hope Queen Elizabeth will make William the next King. The monarchy will not survive Charles and Camilla. Diana's predictions have always been spot on! The younger generation has really done their best to repair the damage Charles has done. Charles actually owes Diana so much. Diana paid a high price, however she did so much to help the Monarchy, although I don't think Prince Phillip, the Queen or Prince Charles will admit it. I really do wish Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince Harry, Princess Meghan the very best. (Meghan truly is a Princess ❤) Princess Diana is lovingly watching over the four of them. They will always have my love and support. ❤

If you watch them at this stage in their marriage they seem very much in love with each other. Especially when he pokes and flirts with her during the meeting and he realizes she's attending his Charity's rival. He does it again when he's presented with the hand made brooch and he verbally teases her.........?AND SHE LOVES IT !!!!!

One thing is for sure....he didn't deserve her! Most of her insecurities came from him. He was actually borderline mean to her and abusive by the way he was messing with the horse face right up until the wedding and beyond. So sad! She made amazing progress with AIDS education and acceptance of AIDS victims. She championed the removal of land mines from many countries w where people were killed or injured from leftover mines. She put that cause on The Map , too

As a Mother, as are many of you - the love I have for my children (now in their late twenties) has only deepened through the years. My love for them taught me unconditional love. So apparent was the love Diana had for her children as was the love she had for children, mankind - all over the world. Diana will never be forgotten. Her lasting impact on her children as well as the world tells us of her purpose albeit far too brief. She is so missed although I'm certain not nearly as missed as in the lives of her children. RIP dear beautiful princess - you are forever loved. 🌺

I love them both liked their spending special time for their boys and division of their duties TOGETHERNESS as I watched was fantastic as long as it lasted especially for their boys n for themselves n the public. Exemplary for that age for the children first five years of their life.

Lady Di was a romantic teenager with stars in her eyes when she married PC. Sad she was so unhappy for so many years.

Now we know where the Princes got their love for choppers from! We will always miss you, Diana. You are the real People's Princess. RIP.

Diana I see in this documentary, is the Diana I missed in the latest season of The Crown. I felt they missed a mark on few things, although they got her very right. Her curiosity, wonderful spirit, the way she truly connected with people, her joyful side, the way she - no matter the chaos - carried herself with great dignity and commanded a room with her presence. She was a stronger woman than The Crown presented her as, I hope the next season shows this side of her.

We will never see a beautiful rose like her again or a real lady

A tragic end for such a sad childhood being sent away at the tender age of 9 by her father due to a wicked stepmom, only to marry a frog in love with another ugly toad. Used only to bare an heir and a spare, that went on to accept his father marring her after killing a 19 year old beautiful young lady,s heart by breaking it and then to predict her own death at the royals hands! In a car crash where of all places for her internal injuries where that same heart that they ( the royals!) had broken so many times before, was finally crushed exactly as she had feared and predicted! She could have been saved even then but 90 minutes passed with the ambulance there with the hospital only a couple blocks away, why did it take 90 minutes for them to get her to the hospital where the doctors could have operated and stopped the bleeding yet they waited until her poor heart had bleed out before taking her to the hospital as that way they couldn't dare save this beautiful Princess, a damned tragedy beyond belief...except NOT for the royals who hated her as shed become far more loved than anyone in that old castle! They feared that! If the people who came from everywhere to lay a sea of flowers like no other royal death ever came close to! If only the people who layer the beautiful sea of flowers had know a day before of its plan, surely they would have over taken the monarchy, this I truly believe!

Her boys are lucky they have lots of film of her love this

She may be young but she has something that can't be taught or bought: natural grace & sincerity; you can see her genuine interest in the people she met or talked to, and that I think, is what puts them at ease. Too bad she can't pass this on to Kate Middleton, who appears to put on an act of interest most of the time. I hate to sound cliche, but alas, there will NEVER be another Diana...

pennyLanePink It makes me sad to say this but princess Diana was no Saint after all she did in vindictiveness. Somewhere her parents failed to give her a sense of pride. Princess Diana did not want the divorce from Prince Charles because of what she went through as a child. Both parents had affairs. People say Charles never stopped seeing Camilla but two wrongs do not make a right. Princess Diana did some awful things in the marriage instead of insisting on a divorce and keeping in mind she was the Mother of the future King of England she too had affairs. Princess Diana's final act of running around with Dodi Alfayed who never ever worked for a penny and was supported by his Father he surely was looked upon as not fit company for a Princess and the future King of England.

This is the best Doc in history out of all the British Royal Doc's I seen. New Years day January 1st 2021. Thank you Princes Charles for releasing this you are still the Prince the Royal who is full of laughter and humor, so gifted Prince Charles.

You could feel Diana that she is longing and waiting for his love and attention...that when Charles kiss her after the polo match..you could feel her giggle...it's like she's happy already with that small gesture of Charles...and when Charles pinch her side she like it..it's like her opportunity to see Charles show his attention to her is infront of people..it's only for a show but for Diana she's happy with it at least she has his attention sometimes....I feel sad for her...SHE REALLY HAS A LOT TO GIVE AND SHE NEVER HAD IN RETURN.

Yes the only problem was - he was acting like that only in front of the camera, while away, he was away at highrove where camila lived and indeed it infuriated Diana, the falsness of it all. She was so brave to put up with it for so long though.

Have you seen the documentary called “Diana, In Her Own Word”? It’s on Netflix. Diana was a mess. She was terribly emotional and cried all of the time, she threw herself down the stairs while pregnant for attention, she saw a therapist daily, she threw temper tantrums, had an eating disorder etc... she openly admits to being a mess. I get that she was really crushed to know that her husband didn’t love her, but all of that had to make it difficult for Charles to love her. That made him run to Camilla even faster. They both were a mess. I think they both had a hand in the breakup of the marriage. You may feel differently. Anyway, if you get a chance to watch the documentary, it really is good.

Yes you're right. Its so sad that she really loved him but he had to have his cake and eat it too. Carmela should have done the right thing and stepped away and not pretend to be her friend. A great betrayal on both Charles and Carmela.

She was very natural among the people & very charming & seemed to be very interested in being among the people ! She was very well dressed at every event & loved being with her children ! She enjoyed her private time with her children !

It's really nice finding something on youtube that focuses on her life other than all the sad and unfortunate "paparatzzi, he- said-she-said, conspiracy, lost tapes, ect.." This is the HER that i wanted to see :-)

Psikohick, These are not happy moments. The marriage was unofficially over at this point, and had been for about three years. They were not sleeping together. Diana wa in a relationship with Hewitt, and Camilla returned to Charles life, round about this time- 1986. Th marriage had floundered in 1984, the year Diana was preganant with Harry, when she was caught with another man. You might wonder why Charles hadn't divorced her for infidelity. The problem was that Diana's offence was much greater than infidelity. When she was caught with another man, it was TREASON, an offence against the Monarchy, because, as wife of the Heir to the Throne, HER children had to be HIS children. This was in 1984 But ten years earlier, in 1974, it was still a capital offence and Diana could have been HANGED for sleeping with her security officer. So what you see here is a man who had promised, in his marriage vows, to "cherish" her. And even though Diana, by her actions, had ended his marital commitment, he was STILL cherishing her to the extent that he had not made her crime public, had not told the Queen, and in thirty five years, has NEVER publicly commented on what it was that Diana did that ended their marriage. So the documentary that you see here was for publicity. It was disguising the real problems.

It's nice to see playfulness between her and Charles. She was beautiful, smart, elegant and charming. I don't know that anyone could've measured up to her.

Only 35 minutes in so far, Charles just ignores her, she is always looking at him, smiling and waiting for cues and he does not even look at her, walks a distance from her, even going up the stairs, so dar from her, acts like she does not exist. No wonder....

She,---more than likely has been nothing but an opportunist, (hoping to be the Queen of King Charles). But some sources have already reported that Queen Elizabeth has chosen to skip right over Charles, and give the "Kingship" to grandson "William", and following that with his children.

Linda M. Schultz Obert . Andrew is alive and well. He’s been getting a bad wrap recently because one of his friends that he hangs out with has been charged with pedophilia. I doubt that Andrew was involved. I don’t know the details of the investigation though. You’d have to research it yourself.

judy then Diana did not marry for love, rather tobe a princess, and look at how she thanked the family who made her. we can look back now knowing Diana came to the royal family damage goods, who made her husbands life a living misery with her instability. Diana was also an adultress and did not die a saint or free of sin. it's great to see Prince Charles with a women by his side who truly loves him. one whom has earned her place in the royal family.

Diana did marry for love. She had a crush on Charles while growing up. What is interesting is how happy she looks in this doc., and her sense of humour. Charles, too, looks happy. They seem to enjoy each other's company. True, Diana had affairs but perhaps driven to it. Had she not had affairs, she would have been beyond reproach. Instead, they could portray her as unstable, unfaithful, vindictive etc. Poor Diana.

I was thinking the same thing the other night when I was watching a documentary about how they refused to allow Margerat to marry just because her "Man" was a divorcee..But now Charles has been allowed to marry "The Rottweiler" after he committed adultery against his marriage to Diana ..I mean it wasn't that long ago it was unheard of to have a King or future King in the situation that Charles is in and it is sickening ..He was and is nothing but a womanizing arse hole who should never be allowed to sit on the throne with his prior married mistress.

yes, he "jokes" all the time in these clips when he's with her. I do believe there was awkwardness instead of love, to fill the obvious gaps in, people resort to strained jocularity.

i never saw this before, Charles and Diana made a great couple! You can't fake their team work as shown here, how that other person got involved is confusing. They both looked like a couple in love and Diana was a sport about everything. She seem to put concerns at rest and Charles was so relaxed during the early years. Had Charles not gotten jealous of Princess Diana, England would have had a powerhouse couple! So sad what that other person done to them!

It was largely acting in this video. They were able to work together fairly well in the early years but even then Diana's outshining Charles was something of a problem. ANd their unhappiness in private began to seep over intoo their public life. They got a a point where they couldnt' work together and were miserable

THANK You for this documentary! It was lovely to be able to watch what once was... instead of having dozens upon dozens of "close sources" being cited, or a self proclaimed "royal expert" putting on an air of self importance, only to give the late Princess a "diagnosis" or "tell of a story" that's nothing but a lie... I wish there were more pieces out there like this... watching the boys at this moment in time - priceless... It makes my heart ache for them even more... She clearly adored Her two sons - and they (adored...) Her... Seeing how the boys have turned out into amazing grown men, their incredible mother did a beautiful job raising them... They will definitely continue Her legacy - and keep Her memory alive in their own, unique ways... HRH Princess Diana will forever be Our Queen Of Hearts - because, She truly was (and will always be...) The People's Princess...💖 💙💛🌹💜🍎🇺🇸

+Esther Skojecova You're correct, it does take two to tango. Charles and Diana are both responsible for their failed marriage. Don't forget, Diana stated she slept with TWO men while they were married. So there were five in that marriage, not three.

Charles and Diana might have had a successful marriage and working partnership if there hadn't been so many sharks circurling them, and people thinking their lives were a game. There were some sweet moments, as well as moments that I liked Charles more, in this film. The tragedy that happened might have been avoided if the Queen, Philip, and Diana's family had shown more concern for them than what they did.

The Narrator said when William and Harry at playground at Highgrove House that William is 4 years old and that makes Harry 1years old because Harry,s birthday is September 15, 1984. This doucumentary is 1985-86.

Poor Diana wanted it to work between her and Charles, but he was just too darn pining after Camilla. He should've just married Camilla in the first place and Diana would've still been alive today.

How sad, because according to everything we know today, directly from Lady Diana, they were already living separate lives at the moment this program was produced, and he was back with his then mistress...Diana herself said that after Harry was born, the relationship with her husband was over...what a pity, because they looked so good together. As she said it in the Panorama interview: " we were a good team" :-(

Yes, I heard her say that too. They really were only married 5 years maybe. I also heard or read that Prince Charles' father, Prince Philip told Charles about marrying Diana, "Give it 5 years, try" And it seems obvious maybe to some that the old Prince Philip thought any man would fall for the young, virginal, and quite attractive Diana, after marrying her...but there was no use for "Hopeless Charles"....

She was a one woman industry who touched everyone she met. She became the rock star of the Royals, she outshined every single one of them. In a way, she still does today. Diana will always haunt Charles & Camilla, and the house of Windsor. Don’t believe me? Her sons are her legacy, look what Harry’s doing now. Catherine Cookson received the award of OBE in 1985, when Charles presented to her perhaps it was 1986.. Cookson and her husband both lived until 1998, she died at 91 and he at 86 years old respectively. However, the visit to Texas, in this video, where the largest 🍰 cake in the world was built for celebrating 150 year Independence from Mexico, known as Texas's Sesquicentennial anniversary, and Prince Charles visit, was February 20, 1986.
