Really reliable cars and super easy to fix. Don't ever get rid of it! Hemi engines are way too easy to work on. If you ever need to do head gaskets, screw paying $1500 to $2000 for that. it'll cost you about $400 TOPS to do it yourself. First time mechanic can do it. Just have to pay close attention to what you do.

Fourth of all, they are easy to work on for ANY mechanic and anybody else that works on them will say the same exact thing. This is a fact. So no, its not based on experience. I got a 12 awd rt plus in January with 95k. Has 105 now. New tires, needs replaced, zero burnouts. Awd modules 900.00. Ac door switch and something else ac related, 500. 200 deep inspection. Needs brakes (my fault). Had uconnect replaced by dealer under warranty, value 700. Trunk button doesn’t work, not fixing. New rack and pin/2 transaxels by dealer before buying, 1400. That sounds like a lot, but I’m into it for under 3k, and paid 12k. Can’t find them for under 20 right now. And I beat my cars hard. Already had it over 120 several times and 130 once. The plus has some crazy options like heated/cooled seats and cup holders, plus more and all works perfect. The sound and power, 100% would recommend and buy again if I had too

Dealer has done several recall repairs to it and I added R1 drilled and slotted rotors and brakes, oil catch can by UPR and Scott Drake strut tower brace. It came with the Alpine system which was junk so I upgraded the entire audio system and added an Northstar AGM battery. I maintain my car on a strict oil change time line. Tuning is a bit more difficult. Its best to find a tuning shop in your city to handle your tunes after you mod your car. If you don't want to take it to them, you can have them do email tunes, and you'd need that $500 diablo tuner to be able to import the tunes they email you. Its a bit less quick that way, but after time, it will be right. You'd have to report back to them what the car IS doing and what its NOT doing. Id suggest taking it to a tuner so they can Dyno it as they tune it! Thats the best route.

I looked at 10 - 15 Charger RT and Challenger RT and ended up getting a 2013 Charger RT with 130k because it was the cleanest. Coolant reservoir and air filter are good indicators of how its been taken care of. Im a bit over 150k hard miles and shes loving it. Installed new suspension, Long tube headers, SLP catback, Getrag 3.91 LSD, Legmaker CAI, MSD coil packs, a HemiFever 93 tune. I drive it hard every week and its holding up well, all about maintenance. Most of them that I looked at had a musty brown coolant reservoir, lookin for bright orange on an 11-14 Hemi.

Bro, y’all could have a simple issue. I would punch my 07 300C, it would hesitate like it wasn’t getting gas. Turns out, dielectric grease killed the connecting in my spark plug boot on the coil pack! I bought new ones, car is running great again. They are like 16 a piece. Not too cheap, but I was getting ready to change the plugs, coil packs and throttle body in search of this issue, and it turned out to be a $16 rubber boot. If y’all have any questions about anything, hit me up!

i’ve got a 2017 R/T i’ve had for a year and half , got it at 63k now it’s at 87k. just getting into the higher numbers that fast are worrying me if it’s just gonna die out , trans sometimes will feel like it’s taking a second but no problems i’ve needed maintenance on. i just take so many trips is that gonna damage my car or just the value on the market ? cause i don’t ever plan on giving her up 😭😭

The 5.7 is a strong, reliable motor. The police run them 24/7 for years then they get sold and driven for years to come. The zf 8 speed transmission is a good trans. It’s in a bunch of different makes and models. Just make sure you get the oil changed regularly and perform the maintenance on it and it will last you a long time!

I think that is just a little too much. See if you can negotiate the price and have them come down a little. Good luck on the R/T search!

I would probably stay away from that one, unless you are financially prepared for any kind of major repairs that may come up. It might just be better to pay a little bit more for one that’s seen less road time
