@@baconbits3731 Quan Chi's a known manipulator, though (especially concerning Scorpion), putting his version of the story in doubt. Not to mention that any chance/hope of _removing_ said corruption [from being resurrected as a pawn of Shinnok] was lost when Quan Chi was beheaded by Scorpion late in MKX's events. ^ Then in MK11, we already know Shang Tsung was setting up events for his eventual betrayal, so him corrupting the Jinsei essence used to once-again revive Sindel would come as no surprise.

For those sad that Harumi and Hanzo are no longer a thing, according to Invasions, which to my knowledge is canon, after defeating the invading Scorpion, who is Hanzo, Liu Kang decides to help him. He searches for a timeline where Harumi survived and finds one where she did, but Hanzo died so she became Scorpion. Hanzo is then sent there, and now he and his beloved Harumi are smacking Quan Chi's goons around and kicking ass together. Very wholesome.

syzoth isnt a jobber and bags a gf, mileena, sindel, kuai liang, rain, johnny, kenshi, smoke and baraka all get better characters (if i forgor 1 my bad), johnny basically has the best fatal blow and is currently making a meme and a status pileup on yt, syzoth, sindel, mileena and baraka are good people (FINALLY) lui kang gave many characters a MASSIVE boost ... also syzoths lizard tail do be *THICC* and why they gotta make kenshi and syzoth so smoking hot D: (yes im simpin u would too)

Really glad to see that Suchin is still around and Kenshi still has feelings for her. I'd love to see her and Harumi appear in a future game, if not as playable characters then at least in cut-scenes.

100% agreed, the only way I see Bi-Han actually becoming more compassionate and learning to shed his power-hungry side is if he actually found someone he wanted to protect except his own ambitions. But good news for you, Bi-Han and Sareena is 100% happening. It was teased in the Johnny Cage announcer intro where he calls Sareena Bi-Han's future bestie and spoiler alert for leaked DLC in next para: In the first story expansion DLC, at the end, Bi-Han gets locked up in the Temple of the Elements. Guess who else will end up there (Sareena, as she is currently training with Ashrah in Earthrealm but still has a bit of evil to her)

@@reylex27 @azuzashusband im 100% sure the leaks are real because the whole script for the first expansion story/most of kombat pack 2 and dialogues for dlc characters got datamined, its out there in pastebin and the mk warehouse website. the lin kuei attack kuai liang and harumis wedding and then get defeated, and then the heroes have to fight titan havik across timelines, and at one point, bihan gets corrupted by titan havik's chaos magic and turns into noob saibot (thats his new origin story not kidding) but at the end, he somehow gets fixed and is detained in the temple of elements. also, they literally have a line in the script that says someone became a new grandmaster but the script doesnt explicitly state which clan so im not sure. a lot of names are redacted. but if u expect to see bi han or sareena together physically or share a scene in the dlc, ull be disappointed because, there is no mention of sareena in the dlc story script but they are just setting them up to meet eventually over the course of the game's lifespan. but yeah, they're getting together otherwise, every story hint points to that strongly.

So if Kuai Liang's father knew Jarrod while he was alive, that means he was killed recently. Like, at least within the last few decades (he could have died when Kuai Liang and Bi Han were kids, since it's implied Kuai Liang knew how his father was like before Jarrod's death). And Sindel's dialogue implies that this has been the first Tournament since his death (since she was NOT happy about Li Mei being there). I mean, let's be honest here: we all know Shang Tsung did it, right? Obviously we don't know... but we KNOW, right?

As for Ashrah and reptile, they liked each other but they didnt stay together, both went separate ways, reptile to Outworld, Ashrah in earthrrealm with the monks with Sareena, when quan chi scaped she went alone after him, Reptile is busy with his clan .

I think something that's prevented Mortal Kombat from doing better in the past is how...kinda childish it tended to be? The first game came out in the EXTREME early 90's advertising itself as being more violent and bloody and brutal than anything else on the market so its demographic of teen boys would buy it to rip off heads and tear out spines and it's had a bit of trouble growing out of some of the things it held onto since then. This new MK seems to strike a good balance between the old stuff that made it great and new stuff that grants it a new level of maturity and depth. You can see it in how the characters interact with eachother. There are allies and enemies but also a lot of mixed feelings going on in there. I'm a fan.

Wait….Kuai-Liang’s father took Tomas in, That same father was responsible for Jerrod’s protection in Eatthrealm I’d wager. What if Tomas was possessed by an Enera from the Netherrealm that was sent to kill Jerrod, was defeated by Kuai-Liang’s father, that same Enenra being responsible for Tomas’ family’s deaths which made him an Orphan in the First place. And he couldn’t bring himself to kill an Orphaned Boy, so instead took him in to have him learn to control his innate affinity with Smoke from being Enenra. Or hell, Tomas makes no mention of a “Birth Father” what if his Birth Father was an Enenra???

That would be an interesting way how Smoke has his powers and ties to the previous games. His bio says that he had to learn to use other forms of magic, misdirection, to stand alongside the elemental ninjas of Bi-Han and Kuai Liang but no amount ‘misdirection’ can justify being able to fly using a tornado of smoke. I also wonder if he will have to eventually confront this Enenra directly, in his mindscape, and take control

Tomas' bio states that his birth parents were killed by the Lin Kui, so he probably has no connection to enenra.

Tomas learned smoke magic so he could keep up with scorpion and sub zero. And he was taken in by their father because he felt ashamed that his clan had killed Tomas’s family.

If his versus dialogue with Liu Kang is anything to go by, his parents dying is most likely what prevents him from becoming Enenra. If I had to guess, the cultists that sacrificed him in MK9 (which led him to become human-shaped Enenra) were actually his own parents. With his parents dying prematurely, and he no longer an Enenra, he had to learn actual magic, which just happen to be also smoke-based.

Devs really made these characters more humane than the pasts Mk characters. They were battle hungry for kombat, spiteful to each other yet here its much more mellowed down, the trash talkin and everything

I mean, trash talk and violence are both very human qualities too. Just take a look at my family and you can't pretend the behavior doesn't exist. Or the hood I used to grow up in.
