It's 43 years since I read The Silmarillion so your summary and explanation videos were perfect as a reintroduction. Being retired I indulged myself by binge watching all of them in a day. Like several others who have commented I really really hope you get around to completing this series. I've enabled the notification bell in hope of seeing chapter 19 appear! Meanwhile I'll settle down with the very same book I read back in 1979.

I love Morwen so much. Her life was really hell though even before the events of CoH and fun fact!! The art used here that was done by forestials was done by my request!

It's a lovely piece of work! There aren't that many renditions of a young Morwen out there; most focus on her reuniting with Húrin after the events of Narn i Chîn Húrin. I love their depictions of Nerdanel and some of the other women of The Silmarillion, as well. :)

This past summer, I read the Silmarillion with my high school age daughter as we prepared for The Rings of Power, and your videos were indispensable to understanding and enjoying the text. We’re really looking forward to your video on Beren and Luthien, our favorite story from the text. Tolkien did not choose "lie" lightly, without thought for anything other than poetic meter. Upon that you may depend.

So it's been a really long while and there are no new videos in this series. Does that mean you won't finish it?

Did you stop making these?

You see that Tolkien was heavily inspired by Norse mythology as most names almost sound the same. Take a shot every time a dude's name in a mythology or saga starts with "Thor" and you'll die of alcohol poisoning. Easy for the author, makes sense for the characters but is a pain in the ass for readers not familiar with the culture or language.

i cannot find the continuation of the story, is that because its yet to be made or is this the last episode?

I'll be continuing it. I don't know when I'll start publishing new ones, but I've already started working on the write-up of 'Of Beren and Lúthien'.
