No matter what side you are on you're feeling like, "shut the fuck up and let me enjoy the shit that I enjoy". I do like that its forcing the people that we love to move to independent platforms because hopefully that will result in the people making decisions instead of sponsors and scared networks.
Chapelle is such a genius.... He made racism inclusive.

He was breaking the power of these words instead of holding them in high regard... It's smart and unfortunate that they made him stop as Obama was running for office. That's what caused him to fly out and disappear. Things were a lot more tolerable back then because these words were almost nothing.

@@AEMoreira81 actually 30. Exactly 30 times it was said on air, The last bit was never shown on television, and is only available in the DVD reruns. With that last bit, the total count is 31. The FCC allows late night shows past a certain hour to say specific words, as long as its advertisers and sponsers fomrally agree to it. Id wait til 1am to watch BET Uncut, to see Nellys Tip Drill... I was wondered how I was allowed to watch it on TV.

This show brought everyone together in the early 2000s. Everyone I worked with from every background you could think of were talking about it every week, just laughing.

This show was meant to make people laugh but also think. If you think Chappelle was just trying to be funny and nothing else then you’re delusional. His humor has always had a political point behind it, mostly about how racist Americans/America is in general . To ignore that and look at it as only comedy and not social commentary is a disservice to his craft.

That’s why not a lot of people are reading between the lines, been reading most of these comments and most of them are saying this is when comedy was real, and with their tone of saying it they sound like trump supporters and I can understand why they found this funny, they don’t have an open mind, they are not getting the real message of it because Dave is a comedic genius, hence why I feel he even left the show, he was pandering to a different audience who were not getting the satire of it, and even now with his netflix shows you can see he is clearly more robust about racial comedy

@@itsjustme8947 RP was a writer and influencer of the movie, yes. He also encouraged Brooks to keep the "N" word in and not back down. Brooks was the main force that helped this classic become public. Little was Pryor's recommendation when RP was turned down, after poor personal life choices. We could add Andrew Bergman, too, who actually created the whole idea and basic script, but Mel Brooks put his career on the line for this and Clevon Little helped us laugh at racism, which Pryor readily admits.

Yup.. Meanwhile Dave Chappelle was paid 60,000,000 [60 Million] for 3 hours of material from Netflix. He had 2 of the hours already canned from years ago.. he literally says he got the old footage.. blew the dust off and made a 60 million dollar deal.. and only had to come up with 1 hour of footage lol. He got PAID!

The real reason is because the network was turning down all his scripts like these they wanted the show to be less about race but he didn't like how they where changing it so he ended it and didn't renew it and even claims he turned down a contract for several million dollars.
