Your last sentence, "When we formed the country the politicians weren't there to be career politicians. They do their civic duty and go back and be farmers or whatever they did." That is the most important and powerful sentence I've ever heard. Especially in today. The fact of the matter is that we need younger people in power, not 80 year olds. Most these people in power probably cannot hook up a simple VCR player, which as we all know, is heavily out dated (or even reset their oven clock). Our technology is ever progressing and expanding, Why are we having these 80 year olds running the country? We need both term limits For everyone! And AGE limits!

I thought you would have done your due diligence to understand what happened on January 6th inside and out before making a video, but I presumed wrong. Lawton, TRUMP did offer to send in the national guard but the speaker of the house, who is in charge of keeping the Capitol safe declined this offer. Fuck man, this is a big factor in what transpired that day. Trump also said in his speech to peacefully make your voices heard. There were millions of citizens who showed up that day, no gun crimes and less than 1500 were charged with interrupting a legal proceeding, assault, and trespassing. Do the math, what is that, .001% of the total population did things illegally? You need to correct the record. Btw, Trump has never been charged with insurrection, not even in his Federal DC indictment by Jack Smith who wants to lock Trump up for life. Get your shit together, Lawton.

Hey Larry. Really enjoyed the video. Just wanted to quickly clear up something said in the video. It's a common misconception that the Electoral College is in place to prevent large areas(examples in the video are the coasts, California and New York) from overwhelming the needs of the less populated areas. In fact, when the system was devised, the vast majority of the population of the US(95%+) was spread out in rural areas. The real reason the system was put in place was that the southern states wanted representation by population to include slaves, thereby giving slave owning states a greater voice in the presidential choice. The north obviously objected to the idea of mere presence of slaves giving their owners a greater share of political power. Thus the 3/5ths Compromise came about where the number of delegates each state was allotted was proportional to the state's population, and each slave was counted as 3/5ths of a person. The Electoral College system was created as a way to carry out this agreement of delegation of power. Have a good day Larry!

@@cold10er A small, unarmed woman, part way through a window poses no immediate threat to an armed male officer several feet away. Instead of peaking around a corner and fatally shooting her in the neck, he could have pulled her the rest of the way through the window and cuffed her. The police on the other side of the door certainly didn't think anyone needed to be shot.

Good day sir. I have a question. Have you ever had an inmate tell a c o that you had drugs in your cell when you didnt and how a process like that plays out? Happened to me and my celly along with another guy we were pod workers. S c i camp hill in central Pennsylvania. Ultimately, after the whole thing played out mind you, the man that told the c o s ended up going to the bing for lying. But the gaurds, the dogs, the white shirts the threats....dogs tearing our cells apart, drug tests on the spot, looking at 4 to 8 extra years. Truth came out but not before all hell broke loose. I just recently discovered your channel and thank you. Graterford, camp hill, chester in pa ive been to...was extradited from Bexar county texas san antonio to easton pa on the pts van. Dropping and picking up inmates at different county spots all over the country from tex to pa. Took 17 days with a 4 day stop at a joint in owensboro kentucky. You sign a waiver and give an address to where you want your body sent in case anything goes sideways during the trip. "Good times" jk lol. Im a penny ante guy(last bid 2008 for a burglary of a chics house i knew..scumbag shit i know but wat can ya do?) short time state guy but those 2 experiences i had with the "drugs in the cell" and my extradition were not penny ante. If you know what i mean. Have a great day mr lawton and im definitely the fortunate one to have found this channel. ✌

Trump didn't send in the National Guard on Jan 6th because the law that gives a POTUS the power to do so is called The Insurrection Act. Sending in the NG would have been basically admitting that it was an insurrection.

The police on that day seemed especially pathetic, low numbers, not prepared...even though they knew trump would do something dumb. It's really not excusable they *LET* this happen. The people who broke in were not armed with guns! Many were little girls! (the only one who got shot was a lady, by a cop) The "bad guys" were armed with little more than a flag pole! Just like when you are a police officer you are held to a higher standard, if you are capital police on that particular day you really need to be setting the standard. The cops who did their own "long sleep" are pathetic - I've seen some *really, really horrible* graphic things in my life and I don't need to "long sleep". I also deal with daily crippling physical pain. Still no "long sleep". Those cops didn't see anything on that day worse or more disturbing than I've seen on other days. I'm sure Larry has seen and dealt with worse things too! Good riddance to them. If you are that fragile you should not be a cop.

This is all political. To that end, in regards to the "self-deletion" (avoiding potential YT triggers), while the question could be "What did they see....?", the other question to be asked is "What did someone not want them to say?" To get to the truth, have to look at both sides. It is tragic that anyone reaches a point where they feel the only way to end the "pain" is to self-delete.

@5:50 you got it wrong, it wasn't the Spanish/American war... it was the 1812-15 war with The British... We, (The British) burnt down the White House....

  • @tonysalamone5458

Actually the BRITISH were the ones who stormed the Capital building in 1812 Larry!! And that was called the 2nd war for our independence I believe. The Spanish American war was much later but they never did anything to the building, but the British on the other hand stormed the Capitol and the White House and lit it on Fire.....Just wanted to correct you there otherwise great video I love ur PODCAST too it helps me get thru the work day listening to it!!! Im an independent but lean more liberal on issues. Though im pro gun And even i did not like Trump and the ones that rushed the senate i support there right to do. We have the right to overthrow the government if it becomes corrupt and it has been horrible for a while now. We need term limits and an age cap since there is a minimum. I have said that for year that any one who takes the government on they claim as a terrorist organization. The senate and house of rep needs limits!!! And lobbying needs to be outlawed.
