The food is thakali but just saying it’s has nothing to do with thaak khola which is thd origin of thakali thali and that chicken curry is cooked in curd and tomato purée and who in thakali kitchen uses curd and tomato purée? It’s good the food is nice and everything is tasty but if we clearly look into it and we will realize every thakali restaurant serve very decent food but nothing extra ordinary or something we never ate at home and is the ambience and the food presentation and decor which makes an avg everyday food look more delicious or just tastier but actually it’s just average food but as Nepali loves their dal bhat masu it clicks as we crave our daily food and not many restaurants offer this wholesome thali for Nepali pallet

I totally agree with you. Nowadays people are like just with the name ‘Thakali’ its would be a great idea to start a eatery business but they don’t even mind considering the main thing which is the authenticity of the food and the thakali culture. So sad to see these kinds of modernization in the foods which are meant to be everything for the Thakali people.

Lovely, when I come to Nepal next year I don't want western food or anything I'll be saying 'Kripaya malaii Nepali kana din hos' 🤣👍 I cannot wait to fly into Kathmandu and see the home of mero Gurkha a sathihun, mero sathi ko serimati has cooked me Thakali kana before and it was ekdham mitho thyio!

@@bizzlamichhane dhanybaad, I work with some Gurkhas so along with them and Barsha’s Nepali lessons that’s how I am learning. Yes I am coming to Nepal next year, Kathmandu, Bandipur and Pokhara are the destinations 😀 As you can imagine, I cannot wait 👍🇬🇧🇳🇵
