Музыка

In this video I reflect on the progress of the channel over the last few years, as well as look at the many projects I want to turn to in the future.

Channel Update videos are always welcome to viewers who are thinking of, or have just started putting up a channel of their own. It was also by watching the channels that I follow showing what goes on behind the scenes that inspired me to set up my own channel. In many cases they talk about their progress, growth and journey from a KZread Noob to becoming a fully fledged KZreadr. I can't tell you how valuable this is, because when you first start out, you look at the channels that you follow and inspire you, and think, no way could you ever put videos together like that. Then you go back and watch their early videos and also their update/ behind the scenes videos and realize that you are currently in the same situation that they were once in, and that if you put the time and effort into making worthwhile content, your video standards and channel will also grow like theirs. As for video performance, it can be really strange because sometimes you think "this will be a popular video" and it hardly grows, then you release another video that you didn't think would be popular and it outperforms all expectations. And not only that, sometimes a video gets a second or third life. A handful of my older videos suddenly started picking up loads of new views months or even years after they were originally published. I guess that's the weird and ever changing KZread algorithm kicking in. I'm also glad that you are going to continue to make the videos that you want to make, not videos to chase views or monetization. For me, the channels that I follow are passionate and sincere about what they make videos about, and that is priceless and what draws me to them. The channels that make videos to be current or to get views, I very quickly lose interest in them. Also, if you make videos about a current "in" topic, very quickly it will be old news and not of interest to anyone. If you make videos that are of your retro passion, they will never go out of date. Please continue as you have been doing! Looking forward to seeing all your new videos, and of course I'm curious to see what you can make of your VZ-1. I have one, but I can't get my head round it, even though I know there's a very powerful synth hiding inside. Just a shame it's not as intuitive to use and program as per my CZs. Anyway, thanks for making this update video and may your channel continue to grow!

Thanks, I'm glad you find them interesting too. I'm looking forward to checking the VZ out, although I plan to use an editor. There's a free one on the Casio VZ FB group that you might want to look at. I've not tired it yet but there seems to be good reports about it.

Good to see the SY77 in pride of place. I believe it's the one I sold you a while back. Hope it's been ok? Looking forward to seeing your deep dive review, no pressure 😉

Nice to hear from you. I've used the synth on a number of tracks and it will definitely get a lot more use.
