    About the only positive thing I can see is the UK will have control of it's borders and can vet people entering the UK from EU countries who want to live and work in the UK. But the negative effects are a hell of a price to pay for this. I wonder if the UK will exist in a couple of years the Tories have really screwed the country up.

  • @michaelkalus7802

    @michaelkalus7802

    You do realize the UK always had control of it's borders, they were never part of Schengen and they could still reject people if they wanted to. If you think that this is going to change anything with regards to border control and security you will be in for a rude awakening.

  • @michaelkalus7802

    @michaelkalus7802

    Because the UK has a lot of agreements outside of the EU that they need to follow? But why are you asking me? Why aren't you asking your elected officials that wrote these laws or at the very least voted on them? Enjoy the "rude wake up" you'll have in the next few months as you realize that politicians like Cameron, Corbyn, Johnson and Farrage have used the EU as a scapegoat to hide their own incompetence.

    Only that the people coming from within the EU weren't / aren't the problem or the ones people voted against. But hey, it'll be all good. You get your islands back. Just make sure to fill in the chunnel before you realize the channel cuts both ways. America may be up to get another State in their Union.

    How?

  • @CaminoAir
    @CaminoAir7 жыл бұрын

    Can someone explain this to me (I'm a citizen of the Republic of Ireland). I took the timing of David Cameron's promise to hold a referendum on Britain's membership of the E.U. (before the last general election) as an attempt to strengthen Cameron's negotiations with the E.U. at that time. But that promise was clearly effectively saying that the British people needed to consider whether they would want to stay in the E.U. It was not a message saying the British people wanted an opportunity to reaffirm their membership of the E.U. So Cameron started off on the wrong foot if he was going to campaign to stay in Europe. I know this is simplifying the matter, but I have to ask that if Cameron was playing poker with the E.U., then why did he place himself in such a problematic starting position? What was he hoping to gain by exposing himself to such a risky course of action.

    Ireland will reunite and return to being the country it is meant to be, and an EU member state. As to Scotland, it is a country, not a province. The Scottish people were promised that if they voted to stay in the UK, continued EU membership would be as good as guaranteed. That turned out to be exactly FALSE. Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain in the EU, and it will remain in the EU, and leave the UK. Within five to ten years, the Union Jack will cease to exist.

    Its too early to judge the outcome. Current economic lows are due to uncertainty and not to an actual exit. Its not even guarantee that the exit will be implemented, as political will is facing reality. Ultimately, UK-EU relations will stable along with trade, though obviously EU should never match the new relation to current benefits, as that will mean giving upbto the cheeky british who wants the benefits and rights of EU but no obligations. What it is clear beyond all doubt, is that reckless politicians lead uninformed and uneducated and indoctrinated sheeps with populist nonsensical demagogy. Really would love to see all those chauvinism have what they deserve, but ultimately misery is not a good recipe for no one, so hope that reason finally finds its way into the negotiations.

    +Jackal Muldipulus CABAL People were not reasonable before the voting, so do not expect them to be it now, with all the passion and feelings taking over reason. To be fair, the leftist press and media is actively using the same fear strategy that the right used before the referendum. Current economical markers are by no means fit to judge the "exit", and should not be use as a weapon to diminish voters. It shoyld not be about a "I told you so", but rather a "did reason really prevail", though at the end of the day its all irrelevant, and after the water settles responsible people should start ASAP to negotiate and execute the divorce in the best way possible.

  • @osmanyousaf7866

    @osmanyousaf7866

    8 жыл бұрын

    +Jackal Muldipulus CABAL Personally, though I do not intend to undermine voters right, you sure agree that no real democracy exists with out informed and educated voters. So if the debate has been hijacked by emotions and fear, displacing reasoning, and information has been drawn by desinformation, the ultimate quality of the referendum is indeed at least questionable.

    UKIP literally had racist members who wanted all Muslims to sign a piece of paper saying they wont start a terrorist attack, could you imagine if they did that to Christian just because one or two people shot down a mosque? There is literal racism in that party, so if you support UKIP and make sweeping statements like 'kicking out all these foreigners and getting my country back then yes.' Yes mate, you are a Racist.

    So major corporations lost billions in value overnight. Well, serves them right. These same corporations put millions into the remain campaign. They banked on business as usual with their monopolies and cozy relationships within the EU. Their behavior has been suffocating small businesses in Britain for years. Well, they gambled wrong and deserve to pay the price. Not only is it fitting that their stocks get hit, but it would be fitting if the British public boycott their products and services. And do it forever.

People only care when it affects them.

It is amazing that we have 2 political parties who disagree so profoundly with more then half of the nation on a 72% turnout. How come our major political parties are so out of touch with the people that keep them in office
