Changing wheel centres from 12stud tractor to fit 10stud truck.
In this video I change some tractor wheel rims from 12 stud to 10 stud.
The old centre hole had to be cut out bigger to make room for the new bolt pattern using the gas torch and a simple home made circle cutter. After cutting out and cleaning up with the grinder, the new 10 stud pattern was drawn up in CAD and then cut out of 15mm plate on the cnc plasma.
The new centre was test fitted onto a spare axle in the yard.
The centres were then ground up making a clean surface to weld, the paint ground off by wheel rims, centres laid in and measured to make sure that they were in the middle then tack welded into position.
The brake drum was then test fitted to check for clearance before fully welding in on both sides.
Thanks for watching!
Hope you enjoyed the video.

Nah, people don't bring you nice simple jobs, they do those themselves. Thanks for posting.
Do you ever start to think that all the local farmers have a WhatsApp group where they sit around in the evenings laughing and discussing what difficult and obscure job they can get you to do next ? Snowball Engineering. Often copied but never equaled. Love the videos. Many thanks.
Well done, Ollie. Always enjoy seeing your problem solving process. Thanks for taking us along!

He's a pro love to watch when I get fit he is one of the first stops to shake his hand real top man
Do not worry about all jobs being exciting, Anything and everything you do is a window into the real world of engineering, repair, refurbishing. It is all good. Excellent work Oliver👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
Keep them videos coming fella, always a pleasure to watch a pro overcoming another problem, quality job
Cheers from the mid north coast of NSW Australia
It's a nice tribute getting comments from all over the world. People love the variety of jobs and with each one comes a different set of problems to be solved. You seem to be doing ok. Well done.
Your shop is alot like mine, never know what's coming through the door, I like being challenged I do more machine work than fabrication but love both, great video, new sub..
Customer must be building a monster truck with those rims 😳. Looks like if it was easy he would have done it himself. Just your average bank holiday for the self employed 😂😂 well done great job
Reminds of the saying, "Improvisation is the mother of invention". Many on KZread can do good work with a full workshop full of machine tools and equipment, much fewer can do the same working with what they have got, an entirely different ball game.
Those rims are enormous! Enjoyed watching your take on this job. As always very well done. Looking forward to seeing the new machines! I have ideas of what at least one might be, but I'll be patient and wait and see. Thanks for another excellent video!
Nice, I fixed a New Holland 41' header on bank holiday the bracket where the out side cone was bent to ~~~k had to cut it off and re build it..not easy lol
Hello from NZ, Another awesome video. From the kiwi.

Easy compared to the line boring job, but can't deny you love a head scratch! 😂
Making do wi wat ya got, is the mother of invention. 👍
Can’t wait to see your new machines. 🙏🏻
Excellent work Spot on 😊
You get a really wide cross section of jobs in. You master them all. Well done sir!
Wow Oliver these jobs you get are crazy! Well it makes for exciting videos and shows off your brilliant work. You saved that person some £ ! Keep up the good work!
Good job there! Sounds like you have plenty of 'interesting' jobs lined up for the future too.
A really talented young man who i wouldnt hesitate to give work to if needed, keep the enjoyable videos coming
I love watching this guy. Just amazing what he can do. Love it. Keep up the great work and content!
Some guys on KZread have a shop full of tools and no real work. You have lots of work and minimum tools, but always get the job done. I love this channel and wish you much success.
I can’t imagine the headache you had after breathing in the paint fumes as you burnt through it. You usually are good about your PPE.
That was another interesting and slightly tricky job. You sure get a variety of work in. This one was an easy one after that last one you did. You really know how to use that CAD program, I've never been able to work out how to use one.
Another great video! Keep them coming and looking forward to seeing what machines you have on the way.
I recently found your channel and must say its first rate viewing. I'm in the UK and been watching western truck and repair, onfire welding and IC weld and your'e up there with them in my eyes. thanks for sharing your stuff with us....

Nice job thanks for sharing!
Great work on the wheels, also enjoyed the cows, they are good pets!
Another nice project mate that didn’t involve blood sweat and tears this time lol. Can’t wait to see the two new machines Xmas has come early.
Gday, that was a good job,the cnc plasma does a good job especially on the stud holes and 15mm plate, it was good to see a bit of farm life to mate, have a great week, cheers
Very cool. I am surprised that the hole pattern didn’t need to be put in with higher precision. Nice work
Holy Snikeys! Those rims are insane! Super cool on the mod! Keep em coming!!!!
I like the way your always thinking 10 steps ahead. Great skills.
Nice improvising...
Another nicely done alteration, looks to be a four wheel axel set are you doing two more or was it because these two are fitted with brake drums. I see your Dad in the background again would love some time to hear the history of your farm workshop and his history of the farm . Nice looking Shorthorns you have raised pass that on to your Dad too.
exellent job there bud. i really enjoy your content. thumbs up.

Nice job well done, I got smiler this to do on my tractor but not that bigger rims, is the front Wells of a Honda 5518 tractor.
Well, following along with a comment trend; greetings from West Yorkshire. Nice little job. Its amazing how well the old plasma cuts with a new nozzle. My little R-Tech arrived a couple of weeks ago, still not got it set up.
Those would look awesome on a Chevy Z-71! 😆
Good job young man!! Love the farming interludes. 👍
Your ingenuity is so impressive.
Hello Oliver from Oklahoma USA....another great video! Definitely outside the box on your thinking. Keep up the good work.

Good old engineering and fabbing, old school problem solving...love it!..👏👏👏👏👍
Fantastic well thought-out superb quality work as usual. Nice to see the CAD setup and the cows😂
Again, nice job problem solving.👍
Great job mate!!
Hi Oliver! I am always amazed by your ingenuity and skills. Your work looks great! Ron...
Good work and very healthy looking cattle.
Great job from Texas.
Interesting to see you draw out a simple CAD file, I'm a computer numpty, can only just manage KZread ! New machines are gonna be a hydraulic metal worker and a new flint spark gun !

Good going, so happy that you didn't encounter any real headaches. Job looks great. Thanks for posting 👍
A ''nice easy job'' for once Snowy, keep troshing and take care.
Nice job!
Love the work you do. Love those heavy guitar riffs you choose as well! To me you don't have to speed up the plasma cutter sequences...😂 Thanks for all.
Another brilliant video Olly keep em coming 👍👍
Nicely done! Always fun to watch you figure out your plans to fix things
If the job was easy everybody would be doing it top work again mate
Adapt and overcome get the job done. fancy tools would be nice but gotta work with what you have. those wheels probably better then what customer couldve bought anyway
Another day another challenge. Great job!
Good job solving skills. Yes, I think you can make a rotary table for welding would bve a cool project. Cheers.
Really love watching this channel, keep it going great work
Awesome video, great work. Thank you Oliver
I bet your back aches after that job well done lovely job .
Engine rebuild... will be great
Another great video thanks. A handy thing when entering dimensions into Onshape is to enter it as a formula to save having to do the arithmetic in your head. So enter your 505mm as 505/2 to get your 252.5mm radius. You can add subtract and multiply and other fancy things that are beyond me!

Great video brother, you always do a fantastic job.
Top job there young man!
Good job mate, still a good watch even if it’s only a wheel centre. I got two quad wheels at an auto jumble to use the tyres on my lawn tractor, the wheels didn’t fit so I swapped the tyres over as I needed the use of them but now you have given me a winter project to adapt the wheels to fit. Looking forward to your other videos. All the best.
Another good video. Would be nice to see some of the stuff, you make, mend and modify in action.
I would have put the adapter plates on the inside of the wheel. Excellent video as always.
Nice to see some cows with horns.
Got recommended to visit your channel by Watch Wes Work. Pleased to see your work - I did the same thing with my 300Tdi fergy rear wheels, but my cheapo chinese plasma cutter worked on those!

As always, great video!
Nice job. Well thought out.
Hard working man.
