Many Passat owners know that this hose will break sooner or later. And some of you know that also new original wire harness set with new hose will eventually break again. In worst case it will kill your reverse camera module also. I think only way to fix it permanently is to change the plastic hose to rubber hose. In this video you will get few tips about this. This video is not about removing interior panels. it's only about how to get new hose through body panel grommet without breaking it. As I started to film this a bit late then from the beginning there is missing how I got exactly thought the new hose - I cut old one from the lid side, connected it to new one and pulled through the grommet. all wire isolation must be removed before, otherwise hose will not move.
