Nice video but you jump few steps procedures. You never mentioned to the public on this video,, this car after you drain the old oil and after filled with the new oil you need to follow this steps first add 5 liters start engine to adsor all this oil in to different locations compartment of the engine leave running for 2 minutes or little more turn off engine and then add and other 2.5 liters start the engine again leave warm up to 200 temperature you can drive to rich the temperature or leave there running and then made the oil level test pressing the brake pedal and gas ⛽️ same time until the message counter show up if level is ok or low. Need add more oil if not due this procedures and you put all the 7 or 8 liter in 1 time with out due the steps, the oil access to the intake or some other places causing several smog when the car is normal hot, i due this comment because i made this mistake smog go a way few days after drive Mclaren 720 and 765lt take 8 liters oil i hope this comment help others A and don’t forget change the oil filter before of all

Those underbody panels aren’t for “protection” their main function is for aerodynamics.

hi i am trying to do this oil change myself, is 0w-40 mobile 1 the only oil to use or i can use 5w-40 motul?

You can use any full synthetic that meets or exceeds the manufacturer spec. We use Motul 0w-40, its ester based and is a higher quality protection than mobile 1.

Our McLaren oil changes come out to about $360. That includes inspection, filters, washers, seals, and LIQUI MOLY 0W-40 Full Synthetic which exceeds the factory oil additive spec. (This is typically around $1700 at the McLaren dealer).
