I'm building one. I have my pump set up but built a stand for it. I didnt know you could just have it set on the bottom submerged in rested media. That how VHT builds them? I may do this then.

could you run the slurry pump for a few minutes before draining, so that the media would be in suspension when you opened the valve?

This video is so helpful...Thank you for this there is almost no other video that shows you a real world change out on the unit. I cant to start using mine man..Great Vid.. Just one question though..You were using this same glass bead to strip the powder coat..How long did it take. I only ask because i ordered another abrasive for paint removal.

Well I figured to use the same for everything since changing it takes like 30 minutes. It will take it off fast enough. I would estimate twice as long as just cleaning dirt off aluminum.

You want a pump with 4000 gph or more, around 6000 gph is ideal. Many home made systems outperform these VHT systems and are vastly easier to do media swaps. The main thing that'll make performance is a air compressors with atleast 15 CFM but ideally between 30-50 CFM is best and a quality gun match to that CFM.
