Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace Automaton
Музыка
Over 100 Computer controlled soldiers perform a 15 minute replica of the "Changing of the Guard Ceremony" in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace
Modestly described by its creator as the "Eight Wonder of the World", this 1:50 scale model measures 5 metres across by 2.5 metres in depth. Height of the stand is 2.4 metres. There are no tracks visible giving the stunning illusion that the soldiers are actually walking on the gravel. Action ist synchronised with thrilling Marching Band Music producing an engaging show that can be repeatet on the hour, every hour, through the day.

It’s absolutely amazing how they get that big band sound from those wee little instruments! The flutes and piccolos I can understand, but the trombones and the drums? Stunning . . .

swissmusicbox I think there is a layer of liquid, probably oil, in which orange dust floats, but impossible to verify this. And it's Incredibly well done!

@@VonZeeple it used to be run on an old BBC computer in basic, but the last time I saw Roger he was upgrading it. They changed rifles whilst he was building it so they have the Belgian FN rifle instead of the SA80's

The Washington Post March, by John Phillip Sousa. Also, note later the Irish tune "Garry Owen," which is the theme song of the US Cavalry.
