Having just done the move in which was very stressful at times well worth it! We are settled now in Thompsons Station and loving it. Far enough from the hustle and bustle yet rather close while getting that rural feel. Enjoyed this interview!

@Matt Bogosian watch your videos (lol)..as well as specific youtube videos on any town you are interested in. plan a weekend trip in Spring or Fall to come scout and see what it is all about..seems everyone who comes to visit ends up wanting to move by the end of their trip.

if you would like, i would be open to an interview. i moved to Teennessee in August 2021. First rented in Franklin and bought in old hickory village last august. i was raised in south orange county and lived in long beach and los angeles as an adult. im a working professional, married, no children, and lean more on the liberal side socially but fiscally conservative. i can defintely give a different perspective. im not looking to change the state as i knew what i was walking into, but i also am not looking to embrace everything as well.

Walnut Creek is very bougie. I suggest interviewing a native Californian who actually knows California and is more “mainstream”.

I interviewed someone today that lived there her whole life. I should have that video up next week sometime. I am open to interviewing people with different backgrounds though. It really doesn’t matter to me. If you lived in CA and then moved to TN then I’m open to chatting. Kelly was great to talk to because she had experience living in several different places. I really enjoyed hearing her perspective on California and her move here to TN.

So much easier to retire in Tennessee. Most of the people I know who’ve moved have left because of the political climate.
