Hi Cyd, really enjoyed this . Best explanation yet as to where to insert a pry bar or screwdriver to push back the piston. Just one small point, when suggesting slackening the clamp bolt to the suspension strut. I believe this is a torque to yield bolt, so if slackened off, will need to be replaced. Keep up the good work!

Excellent and concise video! I watched other videos but none of them were as good as yours because none of them showed what tools or what size sockets, hex keys etc to use on each bolt! Using your links, I did a shopping list and had everything ready to do the job on my wife's 2019 ST Line! Only point I would raise is that when I did the upper caliper carrier bolt - I managed to still use my 1/2" ratchet and slim socket but I used a short extension bar which was long enough to bypass that suspension bolt but not so long that I couldn't undo the bolt because of the inner arch. 10 out of 10!

Only 10 out of 10! How disappointing, lol! But seriously ... thank you. When I first started my channel nearly 7 years ago, I had noticed how most 'how to' vids on cars were woefully inadequate on the parts and tools front and figured "I can do better than that". Thrilled it's working! And thanks for that tip - I'll try it this week, my son's car needs discs and pads again!

@@CycloneCyd Thanks Cyd! I took my wife’s car out for a test drive after doing the brakes. No more graunching or grinding when braking and the car brakes in a straight line with no steering deflection. All ready for its MOT next week! Cheers!

Thank you for posting this instructive video. It is helpful you show where to position the axle stands, this would not be obvious to first timers. Can you please advise what the component is called where the axle stands are positioned? Thank you.

Great video, just 1 question, did you have the silicone tube submerged in the glass container in any brake fluid, or was the glass jar empty?

great video, just a note ceratec isn't supposed to be applied where rubber is, it says in the back of it. best to use silicone grease which can be applied to both brakes and rubber.

Mintex ceratec IS a silicone based grease (or Pagid or Textar - all from TMD Friction). You sure you're not confusing with something else?

Are the rear pistons the type you have to turn to push in? I wanted to replace my pads but had trouble pushing the pistons back. They felt solid.

Hi I recently had these changed at a garage and they put 262mm discs on my mk8 st, I believe they have messed this up as in this video it seems the disc is 278mm?

I don't have the tech data to hand right now as I'm on hols in Crete. Access the textar BrakeBook and search up your car there and it will tell you the correct disc size.
