This movie was criminally underrated. I loved it as a kid and between Elvis the movie and the passing of the extraordinary Lisa Marie Presley 💔 I've been revisiting what I loved the most. Also read Jerry Schilling's book "Me and a Guy Named Elvis" which is just an amazing look at how life was for him and Elvis (they met playing a pickup game of football when Jerry was 12 and Elvis just 18). If his name sounds familiar he gave an emotion packed eulogy at Lisa Marie's funeral; he had literally known her since she was born as Elvis asked him to stay at Graceland for her birth ❤️❤️

Sadly some Baby Boomers such as myself yawned and said, just another Elvis movie. Little did we know that he was about to conquer Las Vegas that same year and only be with us for another 8 years more or less. People my age should have paid more attention to him, but he had been with us since the mid 50's and we thought he would be with us another 40 years. What makes us angry, Elvis was at his best, appearance wise, during this 4 to 6 year era (1967-1972) we missed it and only realize it in hindsight. So his last movie becomes very nostalgic to us all.

this movie is my favorite with Elvis and so glad to see I'm not the only one!! I think he was a little less "Elvis" in this role. he was different than in any other movies he did. what a beautifull way to stop his actor career. I wonder if he felt the chance he had to stop with a movie like this.

I can relate to that. I used to have hundreds of friends around our home constantly eating, goofing around, having a good time. Now it's becoming a war between evil and right. If you choose right, very , but very few people will stand by you. Elvis didn't support the leftist activism in the 60s, neither support segregation. He was the perfect representation of a good American fighting for God, family and homeland 🙏🙌⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

I just watched this movie and OMG, he looks breathtakingly handsome. What a gorgeous devil he was! I wish he kept that hairstyle. I loved the fashion and everything. He looked so cool! I'm not sure about his pairing with Mary Tyler Moore. However, he did really well. I believed him as a doctor and especially the scene when he feels betrayed by her not telling him she was a nun. It was a serious role within a musical movie. Oh, and I know that he was a ladies man, but I don't know how he managed to have such a tender look in his eyes. If he told me he loved me, I believed him. Such a honest face!

This film is near impossible to find anywhere. Almost as hard as his early film Loving You. You find it and you'll have to pay up a bit for it. Awesome music as always and of course Elvis was still in his prime. All of his films were just fun and light hearted escapism. I think that's why he made so many. He must have had a lot of fun doing them. He certainly didn't need the money, and it wasn't to get critical acclaim. He was just having fun. Not a fan of Mary Tyler Moore at all, but Elvis makes it work. My personal favorites were the ones he did with Shelley Fabares. He must have really had fun working with her, she starred with him three times, more than any other actress. Yvonne Craig was runner up with two appearances with Elvis.
