Change of Affection: A Gay Man's Incredible Story of Redemption

Becket Cook shares how he went from being a successful Hollywood set designer with his identity rooted in his sexuality, to a sudden transformation through God. “My motivation for writing this book is not to win a debate… More than anything, my hope is that you will come away with a better understanding of this complex issue, from every angle, so you can make informed choices that affect eternity.”

I am not catholic, but there is NO WAY I would want my son to be an altar boy, choir boy or give ANYONE the opportunity in that environment to make, my son his "boy toy"!! THERE ARE JEFFREY EPSTEINS lurking in every PERCEIVED safe place in our world today. What about the PORNOGRAPHY that kids are being introduced to either intentionally (even by their own sick parents), or accidentally stumbling across it at a friends or relatives home. I know an individual who carries scars to this day from stumbling into pornography at an age so young and so easily confused and impressionable. I am a Christian of 20 years, and it really saddens me when people conjure up what they believe is the “homosexual lifestyle.” Sexual promiscuity, pornography adultery and polygamy are not congruent with being gay, those are completely separate from gayness and they don’t come with it as a side effect. It’s my prayer that God works on some of your hearts and you’ll realize that personal bias and a mix of bad decisions is not synonymous with sexuality.

The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatent oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. The reason for this indoctrination of the collective societal psyche is paramount to the self validating delusion of heterosexuality possessing moral validity. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle" is because there is no need to catogorize heterosexuality with such inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconciously justify contempt and hatred through subjective comparison.

We have spoken about this many times openly. I knew I was different for a very young age. I knew nothing about gay or the word gay. But I knew I felt very uncomfortable with woman when it comes to emotional things. Like holding hands, kissing etc. I also believe that yes there is people that turns out gay and is not actually gay. The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatent oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. The reason for such indoctrination of the collective societal psyche is paramount to the self validating delusion of heterosexuality possessing moral validity. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle" is because there is no need to catogorize heterosexuality with such inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconciously justify contempt and hatred through subjective comparison.

In Romans 1, it states that everything that happens in the natural realm also occurs in the spiritual realm. When molesting takes place, it unleashes demonic attachment to that person. @MsMarian Rogers I completely agree. The only time it was seen as acceptable for two men to be physical with one another, was when a young boy starting at about 14 was being taught how to be a man by an older male who would teach him how to fight among other things. There is only one known case during this time period where two men had actually gotten married and that was in Egypt. Egypt at this time was seen as backwards because women were allowed to divorce, own property, have very important social positions, among other things. This is similar to one of the very big reasons why Galls were seen as barbaric as women were allowed to fight and have very important and sacred roles in their society. Homosexuality had been seen, at least mostly across the board as wrong but only because it made a man too much like a woman. Men having sex with one another at this time was a display of dominance. The mentality at the time in this region was that women were nothing more than property to be owned by men and free men should never be seen as property.

One thing I don't think a lot of people who claim to be Christian truly understand is that there are MANY SINS that The Bible says that IF you DO NOT REPENT OF.....then you WILL NOT INHERIT the Kingdom of Heaven...... it even says if we do not become like LITTLE CHILDREN that we won't inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. As far as the OLD TESTAMENT and it's talk about STONING people to death for THIS or THAT and ALL of the OTHER so called SINS that were punishable by DEATH..... You have to remember that God sent a SAVIOR (Jesus Christ) and that when Jesus DIED on that cross FOR OUR SINS.....He ALONE took the punishment UPON HIMSELF that ALL of us DESERVED and STILL DESERVE to this day......once He proved that He had conquered death.....the OLD LAWS were DONE AWAY WITH because JESUS alread paid THE ULTIMATE PRICE and made THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE for US as SINNERS....while we were still sinners....Christ died for us....(The Bible says that WE ALL FALL SHORT of THE GLORY of GOD). I think John 3:16 sums it up rather well 😊 So there's really no reason to bring up the Old Testament unless you're going to it in search of all of the prophecies that were foretold during that time and then see how HUNDREDS if not MORE of them have since been FULFILLED and CONTINUE to be fulfilled to this day......Thank you Father for your son Jesus Christ who took upon Himself ALL that US SINNERS should have had to suffer through.

  • @christopherscheiber1439

The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatent oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. Such indoctrination of the collective societal psyche is paramount to the self validating delusion of heterosexuality possessing moral validity. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle" is because there is no need to catogorize heterosexuality with such inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconciously justify contempt and hatred through subjective comparison.
