Great review… full of research and personal emotional and cerebral impressions, as always. Petrichor… can there be any more naturally-occurring, calm-inducing aroma? I LOVE Paris-Edimbourg, for exactly that smell. I took your comment about wanting the vanilla in the perfume to be more prominent, as a challenge. I tried Edinbourg and Riviera… the latter was too dominant (as a 1 part:1 part combination). Edimbourg and Venise (1:1) was very good. But I prefer , worn by itself.

Almost missed this one, almost forgot about this new channel of yours. ALMOST missed it :)

I actually really like this one a lot. Total surprise. I think it has a note of rosemary though not listed. This is so different from my usual fragrance taste. By far. Yet, I am loving it.

To my uneducated eye, Lagerfeld's dresses mostly do look simple - until I look at a really simple design and then the difference is evident. Looking forward to trying this. I will be in the boutique next week. Hopefully they will have it. Thank you for the video!

I rarely see mint mentioned but definitely pick up on it.

Got my bottle, haha, finally last Wednesday. Took me really quite a while. Love it, using it daily. ❤ Fairydust also enjoys it much more now, she was unsure but keeps sniffing at my shirt/arms. 😂😂 Thanks again for the great review and you being you. Chiiiiii... 😘🥳🙏🏻

I do so enjoy your Poetic reviews merged with Science and history Dacob. :) I am on the fence with this one. I also am not a huge fan of Cedar at all, though do love Vetiver when executed well. That Eucalyptic/medicinal note to me is a slight "turn off", as I am getting scent memories of those menthol&Eucalyptic remedies used on the chest when sick as a child, definitely not my favourite smell. I Will go into Chanel when I get a moment and have a whiff for myself. I am glad I waited for your review, and didn't blind buy it! Thanks for your well thought-out Review Dacob, the work you put in is most appreciated. :) xxoo

Good morning Dacob! I'm excited to try this one out! Sounds like a winner! Since you mentioned Petrichor, I think the best representation is in Hermann A Mes Cotes Me Paraissait Une Ombre by Etat Libre D'Orange. The most realistic Petrichor, even more so than Narciso Rodriguez for Him EdT. I HIGHLY recommend you try it, Dacob. I think you'd like Etat Libre D'Orange as a brand for their tongue in cheek style. I think a "boxer dropper", let's retake the phrase from the gross pantie dropper straights of Frag Com, would be Rien by Etat Libre D'Orange. Sidenote: I'm wanting to buy Antaeus and Egoiste, because I fear they will be discontinued soon. No evidence to back that up, it's just a feeling I have due to their low popularity. Cristalle EdT is STILL on backorder....

Yes Stewart is not for CHANEL "Oh thank you for this " I so wish we had Catherine Deneuve's era once more with just a little of that eras elegance .I only hope Stewart can appreciate her time with CHANEL and devours the elegance of CHANEL but somehow I am thinking she is not . Love this Dacob thank you !

I spray a fragrance on by holding my arm to my chest with wrist facing up and spraying once or twice. I repeat with the other arm. There is no waste and you get good coverage.

Better late than never. 😂 My wife gave me a tester of said fragrance. Spritz spritz, put it on and I really liked it on first smell. Thereafter I hoped you'd done a review, typed Dacob and Chanel Paris Edimbourg and found it. Went to an appointment. And now, finally here I am. Such an interesting background story, petricore. Never ever heard of this word, hopefully spelled it correctly. Fully of facts and in-depth synopsis, pure passion is noted when you carefully lineup your story and share your notes and thoughts with us. Fully agree on the two hour tops, fades away very quickly. Had to put on some more in the afternoon because it was almost completely gone. Very glad about your honest review on this one, will definitely keep it in mind when applying it again over the next days. Whether it‘s worth a purchase or not, whether it‘s a keeper or not. Time will tell. Btw meanwhile it‘s 135 euros for 125ml. 89 for 50ml.

I’ll probably pick up Sycomore for my birthday later in the year. I could NOT get on with 31 Rue Cambon . I just didn’t feel comfortable wearing it, wasn’t me at all. So my Auntie has been gifted it xx Than you SO much for your videos. You’re my perfume guru xx
