Because I wasn't sure if they will be able to find me a replacement and also I had a hunch the price increase will come soon. I thought when 23k launch it will be new prices. But it happened sooner than that!! After freaking out for a day while I waited for my SA to work again, I decided to keep the bag even if they can't find me a replacement 🙈 I love the color, it's something unique that I don't already have 12 of the same thing 😆 very happy the pearls worked on her hehe!

Hi! I stumbled upon your channel. Hahaha I looove smelling my leather bags so nothing wrong with that! I also bought my very first 22 mini (black with GHW) right before 1st Sept and I’ve got the organiser. I was on holiday in Sydney at the time. So lucky I got mine and I checked it in the shop to make sure there were no quality/scratch issues before I left. Keen to watch your next video to see how the exchange trip turned out. I have seen alot of situations like this lately with multiple luxury brands :(. I know it may or may not always help but def best to thoroughly inspect the bag in the store before it comes home AND before it gets handled putting products in and out. Especially with nails and that leather scratches so easily. I have the blue 19 and have done that so many times. Thankfully ultimately it is a casual worn look bag. I feel this one has a similar look with the leather

Hi Jessica!!! The sad thing is I did check in the boutique 🥲 but I think because how shiny and reflective the leather is, the boutique lighting makes it very hard to see those kinds of imperfections. As only visible at certain angles when the light isn’t refracting off the scratches 🙈 Sometimes no matter how thoroughly you inspect you can’t pick these up until there’s maybe a change in light or angle. I love the 19! Yes they are both casual bags imo! I have one in beige lambskin & 1 in tweed 🥰 thank you so much for stopping and sharing with me your thoughts!! 😘😘

I have a Hermes Picotin 18. The Chanel Mini 19 reminds me of it. I have heard that the leather scratches very quickly on these bags. Consider getting the Hermes Picotin instead, especially if you want to use it as a casual bag. If you decide to keep it, consider calling it Blue Bird.

I have a picotin haha. I’ve had it for a few years I love it, but it doesn’t have a strap so not as user friendly as the mini 22. I ended up calling her Bluebell 💙 but thank you so much for your suggestion!! 🙏🙏

Haha yes that’s true. I thought it looked super luxe 🙈 and the Chanel store never had any stock and it was really intimidating to go in lol. But I quickly realised how heavy that bag was. Once all my items went in it was like carrying a brick 🥲🥲 so I never used it. Then for a little bit I forced myself to use it as otherwise such a waste. But that didn’t last long 😅

I knew it! You got the electric blue 22! I also thought the small pink hobo would not fit anything when I tried the first release last March. Thanks for exposing the quality issue of your 22. Initially when you mentioned AU had a price increase of some Chanel bags and it included the 22, for a moment I regretted not getting that in leiu vanity. My initial concern with the lt. grey was the color transfer and I tend to wear jeans a lot. Then I saw on youtube that they would release a caviar leather mini 22 for the launch of 23k. It made me think thats probably why they finally decided to use caviar leather for this problematic bag. I cannot afford to make wrong decisions over my Chanel purchases because I buy them abroad and theres no boutique in my country. So sad for your damaged bag. I thought it was a win win situation for you because you were able to buy the bag before the Sept. 1 price increase. No wonder it was impeccably wrapped. 😢😢😢

As it would be a lot more structured it would lose it’s vibe 😆 like imagine if they made the Chanel 19 into caviar.. that would be an odd combination as it’s supposed to be a squishy and slouchier bag. So we have to defer naming your new baby… hehehe… for now at least. Should you decide to get the rose gold 22 in exchange for the blue, do think it over. Maybe a store credit would be best for now. I know you do not like anything from the upcoming collection though. I was able to watch some of your other videos when you got the sea foam green shiny vanity with the faint scratches on the CC, I immediately checked my new vanity because it also had no stickers on the logo. And unlike your mini 22, mine was not wrapped nicely. My thoughts? Its a nice bag for sure and I’m glad my iPhone 14 fits diagonally, but I think I would prefer the dark beige more. The shiny gold just stands out! I’m not used to it. My phone case in beige blends with the gold so it’s not that noticeable.Hehehe. Then its shiny caviar! Its really not my aesthetic but sadly all sales are final for me. Hahaha. Just need to be mindful of what I wear when I take her out. Yes, I agree with what you say re: Caviar on the 22. The day it happened my SA wasn't working. So I was agonising over what to do haha. But in the end I decided to keep her even if they can't find another one for me to exchange. Because I love this color, the rose gold will be a bit too flashy and hard to match. Oh yeh the vanity case from 22c, that hardware is so tarnished but they actually did that on purpose! It's wild 🤯 that one went back, because I just couldn't over look it haha as it was all over. The vanity you got is very shiny caviar! I actually love that haha. I didnt realise even the iphone 14 is a tad too big. That means my larger size iphone wouldn't fit? I swear I tried and it went in diagonally. Oh that's without a case. So makes sense you put a case on and it doesnt fit nicely. I always prefer shiny caviar to matte. I think it will grow on you! You must like the 22 a lot if you are happy to still get it with 2 more price increases 🙈 They are already $8610, which means they will be close to 10k in 2 increases. Hahaha too high for me. May as well save up and buy Hermes!

I'm glad I nearly got 10% off this vanity in AU! 😊😊😊 But if I find no one to ask to buy me a 22 this year I will have to deal with the cost, I really feel the 22 is the most gender fluid Chanel bag! I'm even more convinced it will be a great cross body length for me when you wore it! And I'm really not into the classic flap bags or any other staple Chanel bags in leui of the 22. Now I know I wont get the small because of the new upcoming price. Although the EU website did not increase their prices yet. 😊😊😊

@@queenofdiamondsamy oh noo really!!!The scratches aren’t easy to pick up but like you said you have to really check with a fine tooth comb so they can be resolved before you take it out of the shop. Not good to have so many issues though, I would be hesitant as well to buy a bag especially if they do have another increase in price , it is Chanel but you still want excellent quality for the money you pay
