So contemporary, finally! Thank you, Chanel, for this master lesson of style and joy! And the conference hall is tweed-decorated, while the logo is colour-coded as the collection itself. I wish I were there!

Finally back to glamour and class! Even the models look elegant! Great designer...very Coco Chanel.

I love that the house stayed true to their signature fabric (tweed) and threw in a few modern elements into the line (leather, sequins etc.). I also know that adding an unexpected element makes for a great outfit. However, the Wellingtons as footwear looked misplaced IMHO.

Whom ever did the hair for this show, it was perfection. The clothes too 🎉

This is one of the best fashion shows I have ever seen!! So enjoyable!! Each Outfit gave the models their own personalities & was completely wearable. I didn't have to imagine how I would REALLY wear a piece it was pieced together in a wardrobe I would actually wear. Oh, I know it was a dated platter for some & it will b called an old lady collection b 4 it is over but there's something to b said about classic that reaches across the isles & across the board & keeps Chanel relevant at a time when identity crisis is at an all time high. No underlying social or political agendas. Just light hearted fun music with real fashion that was with out a doubt Chanel saying, "I AM Chanel! I will not dye my hair purple for you! I AM WOKE. I AM relevant. I AM Classic! I am BEAUTIFUL." I want those rain boots!! It has rained every day for a month. I want those boots!!!

If the mandate was to make every piece unmistakably Chanel then she succeeded, saturating this collection with Chanel signature elements galore. She is wise to remain on this track....the devoted and loyal Chanel customer expects nothing less and it's been made clear that straying far from it in attempts to be "innovative" and create a shift in what that customer really wants from this revered brand proves counterproductive and perilous every time. Leave that kind of madcap trip to others. Bravo Virginie for grasping the indisputable fact that in the end, this remains a business with little room for wasteful "off topic" whim, and understanding how to still create fresh and relevant brand conscious fashion.
