Look man, if you have such a perfect runway to the finals, no Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell goes down, Knicks only have 6 rotation players; we have to look at your season and be able to honestly say you’ve failed. This Celtics team is too good and has had too much injury luck to not win in the finals. Or at the very least lose in a 7 game series. If your delimiting factor is “well porzingis was out”, then honestly you were never gonna win a chip anyways. The Knicks would never say “well JB was hurt and OG couldn’t play” if they got to the finals and lost. Tatum and Brown have a great roster. If they don’t win a chip this year the C’s need to reevaluate that duo. That’s just a fact

@thecanmanification Celtics won't reevaluate the duo of Tatum and Brown. They gave Brown the biggest contract ever in the NBA with his 300 million + extension, and Tatum will top that contract this summer. They'll have two guys, each with 300 million+ deals.

Basically they've seen Boston beat up on just about every team in the league this year with the exception of Denver so they hold it against them. Two regular season games but w/e media.

Donovan Mitchell without losing AD will always mean the complete depletion of the roster. No bench, no competitive starting 5. It's basically what the Phoenix Suns did. It doesn't work.

Hey Greeney I got a solution for the win Friday and Knicks play ECF Sunday dilemma. Knicks win Gm 6 in Indy Friday and play ECF against Celtics without OG on Sunday and if OG is ready on Tuesday we bring him in to see where he is in his progress. Knicks can play Game 1 without OG and just try to steal Gm 1 and 2 before coming home to MSG.

Next year Western conference if things stays like this will be even crazier because Memphis should be back to play well hopefully, Spurs can only improve, OKC, Minnesota, Mavs and Nuggets will still be as strong. The only teams I see possibly regressing are Lakers, Warriors and Suns actually because of their age.

I don’t think it’s a failure if they lose a competitive series to the nuggets. That team seems impossible to beat in 4 games.

I agree with you on that he's a better fit for the Knicks than the Lakers.

If the Lakers have a healthy Donovan, James, and AD, next year, I 100% guarantee they win the NBA title. I see some folks don't get it, but it really isn't that hard to surround that type of talent with enough to win. Not that hard at all.
