Thank you for sharing this bro!!!! Just started up a West Ham file after some years away. Bought the usual wonderkids and bargains - you know, the Moukokos, Kallstroms, Kerrs, To Madeiros & Co. Pure nostalgia. First game of the Premier League season, away to a decent Ipswich Town outfit at Portman Road - and I start with the 4-4-2 formation (wingers with the standard attacking arrows half way into the opposition half) which served us oh so well on our pre-season tour of Ireland and away to Dortmund - undefeated with 3 wins and a draw. We're down 3-0 at half time. I googled for CM 01/02 tactics - vaguely remembering this one, but not being able to recall the name of it. Your video came up amongst the results. I clicked and here I was. I must say how grateful I am that you were straight to the point with little to no fluff. To be honest, when you got to the wib/wob section, I let out a huge sigh - being caught somewhere between "ah forget that - that's long" and "...yeah it's got to be done innit." Spent what felt like almost an hour meticulously placing each player in my formation in the exact place you had placed each of yours - then clicked to continue the second half. We scored 3 of our own within 30 mins without reply to equalise - 3-3. Madness looool! I took Defoe off with 15 to go, as he was on a 7 (though he had scored) and brought on Kanoute for his jumping and heading stats. We chased a winner - but so did Ipswich, as the commentary indicated they had switched back to a more attacking formation. In retrospect, I might have left Defoe on to grab another - as his pace and off the ball movement must have stretched the defence better than Kanoute was doing and we were already in the ascendancy. That's another thing which I appreciate about this game (and I'm sure many of us do) - the way one's imagination can run, being that the gameplay is commentary only/text-based. The new Football Managers have way too much going on, so you can't just pick it up and play like this - or most of the games up to 2007-09ish. In the next 2 league games, came from behind to win 3-1 at Newcastle and again from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Leeds. Undefeated after 3 tough games to start the league and sitting 7th in the table - was enough to earn me the Manager of the Month Award for August :D Cheers!

I might mess around and start up a Man City save for that lol. Btw, it was 3-1 at Newcastle - I shall edit the original comment to reflect this. Just beat undefeated Middlesbrough in the next game, 4-2 at The Riverside Stadium to go top of the League on 8 points. Man Utd (who have yet to concede a goal :o ), Leeds, Arsenal, Blackburn, Chelsea, Fulham and Ipswich all behind us on 7 points. It's looking spicy already. I'll give you an update when when I've played up to the Christmas period. Subscribed!

I use 3 2 2 2 1, Two CBs plus a CDM in the middle. Two more CDMS, and the rest is the same.

Are these the default settings on iodinecf? I've never used it so just curious if you have tweaked the original settings?

I was hoping Leeds would survive relegation from the premier league. Hopefully its just a speed bump & they will bounce back. As for Torquay yeah we had a cracking team back in the 90's. Problem now for us is that All of our talent is from the local college & free transfers that no one wants. We have owners who like the Glazers in a sense, They do not want to spend their own money to help the team luckily we do not make enough money for them to take dividends 😂😂😂😂

im using this on my journeyman save. i won the finnish title 3 times out of 4, with atlantis, doing the double twice. i dont care if its considered a cheat tactic. once i get bored with it, i'll change. ive just took over at falkirk who are battling relegation, but look like they have some decent players. i think i can get out of it.
