In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

@mystic839

I thought that too, so I thought it would be more fair if they got points based on how many rounds they went or something. ...it didn't matter. They were all out in 1. Even if this were a 5-4-3-2-1 task, it still ended up being 5-0-0-0-0. And even if they got pity points for 1, it's still one winner.
@just-tess

Theoretically no one could have won, to be fair. Or maybe someone could have done so well on all the previous tasks that they could have been more than 5 points ahead of some of the other contestants?
@varsoonhks3211
5 ай бұрын
Not always--someone who only scores 3-3-3-2 or worse in the first 4 tasks is not likely to win off of the final. By the same right, anyone who scores 4-4-4-5 or better is going to win even if they fail the last task, most the time. There's a very real possibility of going into the final task with a score like 1-5-3-1 and the final only getting you up to 15, which other people could have overcome. Obviously, with the point spread we had in this episode, it didn't really matter as it was still anyone's game, but I'm not all that miffed about the final task being as heavily weighted as it was.
I really do wish this had been multiple episodes (three episodes feels like the optimal length for a CoC, personally), but honestly, I am really happy for Richard Herring. He's long been (unfairly) denigrated as people's least favourite winner, but I have such a soft spot for him, and considering his health issues at the time he had been filming this, I am really happy he got this bit of positivity, and was able to claim the title. :)
