Mf got some nerve considering I destroyed him mostly with arceus

random-ass thing I really like: Kieran's the only character (aside from the player because of course :/) who doesn't react when they Terastalize. Everyone else either flinches or has some sort of physical reaction (their hand shakes or their hair gets whipped around), but Kieran just stands there menacingly and then does it, which is cool Edit: I did notice that his one hair strand does technically move around, so I guess he's basically at the level of characters like Geeta (don't flinch but still not affected by it). Less impressive but I still think its cool considering other important characters like E4 and your rivals actually flinch when they Tera

Larry doesn't really flinch or anything either. He takes a quick glance at the ball when it activates and basically has a look that says "oh great this thing is not gonna mess up my suit" then proceeds to fix his tie as his hair blows in the wind. He then throws the ball after.

@@potatoexe5410 I still kind of count that though, if the character actually reacts to the Tera and goes “oh shit, wait” then it’s a reaction Larry looks over at the orb and then has to adjust his tie after, so it counts for me he doesn’t flinch but it’s still technically a reaction, I’d put him in a tier with characters like Brassius who sort of just look at the ball but don’t react much to it

There're "rom" hack players that played the hidden Pecharunt quest, where Kieran uses a blend of his original pokemon and Champion pokemon. They include Poliwrath, Porygon Z, Incineroar, Hydrapple. The rest is unknown.

No other regular Pokemon comes close to its dominance, and since you can only bring 2 legendaries in competitive Doubles they don't have an usage as high as Incineroar. In some formats, Incineroar has had as much as +80% of usage!

@@bugsryan5035 No problems here with me. I can relate. Point stand is that Kieran has great potential and him making it as Champion shows it. The issue here is his behavior and attitude, and the origins of where it lies. Being fair the writing of this story isn't 10 out of 10, considering that Kieran behaved this way because he felt inadequate about himself and his potential and battles, his sister, while had intentions of him wanting to toughen up, was harsh to the point he was unable to see that not only it doesn't matter what she thinks of him, but there's more to being a trainer than just being strong. Kieran assumed that by having the strongest Pokemon would mean he would be strong too (Kind of like Green(Blue) who also had the same ambitions, Green was just more mellowed out compared to Kieran who took it far as he did). Ogerpon was a Pokemon he idolized and wanted him due to believing the Pokemon was the same as him but was short-sighted to see that his behavior and his insecurities stagnated him. Ogerpon saw this and chose to be with the MC, who cared about Pokemon better than Kieran. Kieran took Ogerpon's choice as a negative and started to resent the MC for taking the Pokemon Ogerpon away from him. He was lost in believing that all he needed to do was get stronger by any means, to the point he changed his team of the Pokemon he uses in the Indigo Disk to fit his irate beliefs in having the strongest team would make you better. That's when the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero concerned another legendary Pokemon that Kieran gets roped into by the lady who was looking for that Pokemon. Despite losing, he saw this as another chance to seize the Pokemon before the MC could get it. Point remains is that Kieran was a misunderstood boy, who had his insecurities caused by circumstances outside of MC's control, although the MC did get roped into a lie that only pushed things once Kieran eavesdropped on his sister and MC. The writing isn't that good considering that it could have been much better of the MC's choice did have some effect in the story that changes as the DLC went on.

probably the wildest part of this is how this's essentially quite literally the 3rd time in legit 20 whole years that there's ever been a champion double battle- but a actual first for the actual main series since until this point it was all singles. the first two double "champion" battles being in the 2 spinoffs pokemon colosseum(Evice) and Gale of Darkness(Greevil) respectively Kieran deff looks to have levels akin to g/s/c red/bdsp cynthia from the looks of his mons, but most likely not as powerful as BDSP cynthia(in fact, I doubt we'll ever see monsters like the bdsp E4+Cynthia with their perfectly crafted item holding+max EV type teams ever again. and it was very unique with such a challenge.) but that's assuming this was a singles battle. as its doubles, he looks really neat and I'd say Kieran's most likely on the level of Evice, ie simple but fun. I actually really love how this champion fight's a double battle, I've waited years for one to occur again after the colosseum games, I'm happy its real

This dlc still feels like part of the story and not after

I was sad when we battled him in the Teal Mask. Here? After seeing how he used his losses as an excuse to hurt others? I'll save my sympathy for someone who truly needs it. *12 Minutes later* ...never mind

People say that he became epic now, I disagree, if anything, I feel pity for Kieran, remind you, he became this just because he was jealous of the main character, which means he was never strong on his own to begin with, he was always weak because he never wanted to be strong in the first place, he wanted what you had and your victories, of course he was gonna lose with that "motivation" in mind. The main character was their own person, with their own motivations, and that is what made them strong, something Kieran failed to see.

He is very divisive. I hate him too, even in Teal Mask he came across as an entitled brat who was just too shy to act on it and was never a true friend and now the shyness comes right off and he is absolutely horrible thinking being good at something means he can get away with it. This sounds amazing for a villain you want to see get destroyed (for comparison Ghetsis is a lot worse but you are meant to hate him) but for Kieran you are meant to feel bad and gets a redemption and I cant find any sympathy for him. I just want to punch him
