Please note this detail: While Carmine theme battle remains the same since the beginning, Kieran, in the other side has a more ‘villainesque’ theme. The piano is much harder, and the notes are much deeper and distorted. Briar, in her encounter theme has this particular detail too, distorted notes and some deep piano. I think he’s gonna be a center point in the Blueberry Academy, being the Champion of the League/The most stronger trainer. It’s his desire.

Overall I think the crystals can make your dreams come true, and since Kieran desires to be stronger so much, in the end, i think he will be.

Also noticed how in earlier battles Kieran had a Poliwhirl. Then in the battle when he got mad, his Poliwhirl just so happened to evolve into Poliwrath. It's a symbolism of him turning angry.

Can we talk about how when you beat both the siblings, they have a moment where they’re eyes lose their shine and they look a little unhinged? Carmine isn’t so noticeable but it’s there. She doesn’t let this get to her but Kieran breaks and it’s shown after he finds out that his eyes loses that little white shine a lot more often. His character development is insane. When he says “liar! You’re a LIAR” you can hear a break noise in the background. That is the exact moment that kid cracks under all this pressure. And that crack definitely is present in his last battle. When he grips his pokeball and holds it up to his face, he looks completely unhinged. No mercy. This kid is gonna be one heck of a problem in part 2.

I have never seen a rival become more rightfully pissed than Kieran, you show up and in just 3 days you become the town favorite, Gaslight him, one-sidedly defeat him multiple times, have his big sister develop a crush on you causing a separation and also obtain the one Pokémon he wanted in the entire world as he sees it be as happy as can be with you.

These two had solid arcs in Teal Mask and I can’t wait to see both of them in Indigo Disk. I’m genuinely excited to see Carmine at Blueberry Academy, and I can’t wait to go toe-to-toe with a souped-up Kieran

I love how Carmine starts out as a jerk who becomes more friendly towards the end, while Kieran starts out as a shy boy who slowly becomes emotionally unhinged.

She even decides to woman up and give a public apology to everyone for her behavior and explains why she felt the way she did about outsiders, and that she was wrong. That was mature of her.

She hid the fact that she had met the ogre and acted in an overbearing manner towards her younger brother and left him alone, which amplified Kieran's sense of loneliness. It also breaks my heart that she thought it was a good thing. I think she would empathize with me if she was someone who actually has an older sister.

I was replying to someone who said Carmine is *still* a jerk, which doesn’t make sense to me, because while she started off as one, I literally summed up her arc where she grows past her xenophobia and apologizes to everyone for it once she comes around to you, and even officially considers you her friend. 3. She definitely was a jerk to Kieran, and while she started to show remorse for it later in the DLC, she does still need to fully come around to making amends with him. 4. She only hid the fact she met Ogerpon out of concern for his well-being. It wasn’t malicious in any way; she implies she’s seen Kieran act out like this before, which is why both she AND her grandfather thought it was best to keep their meeting a secret. Little did they know that keeping it a secret was what annoyed Kieran even more; it was just misguided of them. They didn’t know.

And Carmine being the "good sister" she is, will "forgive" and gonna say "From now on, I'll become a better older sister." and then some dumb peoples on here will act like this is the peak writing.

Damn right! Kieran was really well written! He wrapped around the story (which itself was awesome too, they’ve really been doing a number with their stories recently) and mirrored Ogerpon For me personally, I feel like Carmimes character could’ve done with a bit more explanation and fleshing out as to why she’s so unhinged I know Kieran was more the focus but it had me scampering for sense to be made out of Carmine too Course its plenty easy to assume its “older sister protector of her home, tradition and whatnot” stuff But hey, there’s still The Indigo Disk!

Hey Mixeli, I don't know if you know this or not but you actually missed a battle with Kieran because there are 5 battles against him and your video only has 4 of them.

I actually loved Kieran and Carmine so much that they are interesting characters. Seeing kieran as new antagonist kinda cool. I liked Kieran and Carmine too

I love how the player absolutely breaks the kid by beating him every time in battle and taking his favorite pokemon. Id like to see how much i messed him up in the indigo disk

Actually popping off that they had the guts to give held items to these guys. SV has good battle design throughout - I just really wish the whole DLC level thing wasn't an issue. You need to account for the level the player is, and that's a design problem that, yes, a level 60 Poochyena does not solve. Maybe next time.

@@fed3758 Call me crazy, but I want Kieran to be actually strong, like competitive player strong. Kieran better have a full 6 pokemon party with all of them being Lv. 100 to show how really serious he is about getting stronger. Not just that but all of them should have held items, perfect IVs, fully trained EVs, and he can swap pokemon out just like the player. Im pretty sure by now a lot of players must have their team at Lv. 100 anyways so I'd say it'd be good to actually make him a challenge for once.

@ThatBusyBoi he did have a competitive team at the end of teal mask He was using full on items He can even sweep you If you play with certain rules he's very threatening. Like the whole preview what mon they're throwing out and what not. That- and not being overleveled to hell If you're on level He can be challenging

i related to kieran a lot as an autistic person... the outbursts, the fixation on the ogre, not knowing how to express his emotions correctly so he just separates himself from everyone, carmine saying she doesn't know what she's gonna do with him or why he acts this way, being afraid of speaking to people, becoming easily very attached to someone, etc... it all hit very close to home

These battles makes me feel like a villain You fight a timid boy who gets verbally abused by his sister. Loves Ogerpon but his sister shuts you up about it, making him more distant Meanwhile you have Carmine, who is rough around the edges She's mean at times and demanding Even after the battles, she tries to "put him in his place" You have to ally yourself with this kid's sister to help Ogerpon This story is like making the protagonist the bad guy

Some of your points lack context. For starters, Carmine and the player were respecting Carmine’s grandfather’s wishes about them not telling Kieran. So your frustration, just like Kieran’s, is misplaced on that. As for Ogerpon, Carmine literally offered Kieran to join in grabbing its masks from the Loyal Three. It was Kieran who chose not to bother. Sure, he was the reason the villagers realized their error of their ways, but Ogerpon really only wanted the masks… the one thing that connected it to its original master. And last I checked, it was us and Carmine who did that. Lastly, even if the player gave Ogerpon to Kieran or we lost to Kieran, I strongly suspect Ogerpon would’ve still chosen us for the simple fact that it was US who stuck ourselves out to battle the Loyal Three and it clearly sensed something was genuinely off with Kieran.

Okay, A) barring Yanmega, Kieran is actually more of a dark type user. B) Kieran has a good reason to behave the way he does unlike Goh. We the player essentially just ruined everything for poor Kieran. Especially catching his dream right in front of him.

Okey, I can't be the only one that wonder what the fuck happens with their eyes no? In battle they go crazy like cat or reptile eyes. It kinda of remind me to that character from YuGiOh GY that had Dinosaur DNA

I am starting to build a theory of Kieran looking at the battle intros, the first three are normal seeming, being 5:55, 10:01, and 19:58, while in the final battle, the whites previously in Kieran's eyes have vanished as seen starting from 29:35. My theory is that pretty much the adventure the protagonist had made Kieran seem a bit, off...

What was Carmine gonna say before she got cut off?

She was probably going to tell you about her brother and that she's worried about what is becoming of him, or that she and her brother and leaving soon, she visibly felt better after saying they are leaving though, so its probably the latter, but in the end there's no telling 100%.

To be fair, Kieran’s sister has been a jerk to her. She’s like the cooler and more adventurous version of Chloe and has more experience. They both hated the main character (the player and Ash Ketchum), their parent figure was a helpful guide to their journey and she changed and became nicer in the end of the story

I'm kinda disappointed in Kieran's character arc. He was getting frustrated up to the point where he wanted to turn bad. There were even chances that he could've teamed up with the "Loyal" Three to stop Carmine and the player from getting the masks. Not to mention he would use them in battle as a better evil boss. He was treated badly by his sister, lied to, and even says he still too weak to not get his revenge. The game should've gave him the three legendaries temporarily to where they abandon him once he's defeated.

I get what your saying, but the entire reason he was getting frustrated in the first place is because he loves the ogre, it would be completely nonsensical for him to team up with the pokemon who were so evil to the ogre which he loves so much. There will be more to come in part 2, so his story is unfinished. it would make absolutely no sense to have him randomly team up with the pokemon who are mortal enemies with his favorite ogre
