Champion 2000 Watt Inverter Generator 365 Day Review

My Champion 2000 Watt Inverter Generator after running 7 hours a day for 1 year. Rain or shine it never fails.
This channel will teach you the good, the bad, and the ugly of Minimal Living, RV Life, Camping, Boondocking, Tiny camper, camping, Van Life, Nomad / Nomadic Life, and frugal living.
After years of working 60 to 70 hours a week and never taking a vacation, Carolyn and I (Rob) decided to quit our job and begin living our dream. We bought a 1970 Starcraft pop-up camper and fixed it up, traveling the country, and only staying at free campsites. After living in it for a year, our pop-up was burned down by someone in a National Forest. We did not let that get us down. We built a homemade truck camper in 2 1/2 week so we could continue living our dream. Welcome to Little House On The Road 2.0 and welcome to the Little House On The road Family.

I have two of these exact generators so I can stack them together with the wiring harness that doubles the power . I basically keep them for hurricane backup power to run my window AC unit and fridge/freezer. Back 2 years ago I only owned one of these and it ran my 5000 BTU window AC unit and my fridge at the same time for about 20 hours during an outage.

I love your video!!! You covered everything and more that I was thinking of. I bought 2 Westinghouse inverter generators (I gen 2600) both DOA. Had to return. Then I started looking at the Yamahas. I was just about to make my purchase for a 1800 dollar Yamaha when my brother told me to check out the Champion brand. I did some research and the KZread where I found your channel. Thanks so much for a thoughtful post. MaryAnn

Great video. I also own one for a couple of months. I did the same maintenance as you described. Once i sent it for a general service as required by the manual and the guy in the store told me a story about a client who sent him a 3000w broken champion . he had been using it in a flea market for 2,5 years almost 6000hours only changing oil and no other maintenance !!! They where able to fix it for 380$. I am also very pleased with my purchase.

I own two of these with the parallel kit. They are really great . The two , with the parallel kit on will run an RV air conditioning unit quite well.

In the clip of you dumping the oil, is that brand new looking oil that you're dumping out from 80 hours of use? Man, that is some clean oil. Good video.

So I realized I needed a generator to charge the battery for lights This Tear Drop did not come with a manual so I learning through you Thanks! I

You might want to check out the very well-made generator tents by Igan. It is made for the small inverter generators that are out these days. I have one for my 2500 watt champion dual-fuel generator.

Rob did you buy the stackable 2000 watt inverter generator or just a 2000 watt inverter generator ? I’m so confused cuz we want the stackable but I don’t know where to go with it cuz you see both online ..... both meaning one site says stackable and one says just 2000 w inverter gen

If you buy two of these generators you can stack them together if you have the piece that connects them.

Hi, I've just saw your video about your Champion 2000, was very impressed and subscribed immediately! I wanted to know please how is the generator a year after you posted this video. Could you please tell me if you still own it, how many hours it has these days, and also if it needed any repairs, or any valve adjustment? Thank you very much, Moses
