Rolmfao I went there yesterday before seeing this video 🤣 my friend told me they were having a 40% sale for Mother’s Day. They even had Mamey and my childhood fruit jocote … thanks for giving me some of your time ☺️

Agreed. In my case, it’s a 3 and a half hour drive (assuming no traffic jam), but it’s all well worth it.

My first stop for tropical fruit trees. Just got a few Mangoes and a Lemon Mangosteen from them. Very nice and healthy plants. And the best part is that, they are the cleanest nursery I’ve ever been to. Man, I don’t see a single grass or weed at the nursery. Btw, love your channel. Keep us posted

From a taste perspective, I can’t tell the difference. It’s like the difference between a Fuji and a Red Delicious apple. For this, if able to, I’d get them all.

Where on earth are you putting your new trees? Your backyard is solidly planted already! Have you expanded into your neighbours yet?

I’m always making changes. Thinning more matured trees to make room for smaller ones.

Whenever you buy mango trees from Champa Nursery, do you change the potting soil it came with or do you leave it alone ?? I know that mango trees require acidic soil so I wonder if the drainage in their mango tree pots are good or not ??? I am aware that some California nurseries who sell Florida mango trees sometimes add a different potting soil to their trees before they are sold to the public . What would you do after buying the mango tree from Champa ??
@TropicalCentralValley
Жыл бұрын
Almost all of our mango trees purchased from “local” nurseries originated from Florida. By CA state law, Florida is prohibited from shipping their soil to us. Instead of using their native which presumably is where these mango trees were grown in, they use primarily wood-based “soil” which allows the mango tree to not die for a few years. The tricky part with replacing the nursery soil is you have to slowly replace the soil in phases, and over time. I briefly covered this topic in one of my video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lJmZzrp8p5rSZLw.html

@@TropicalCentralValley Thank you. Your videos are awesome. I noticed you have some type of Elephant Ear plant . The one with the giant leaves. What variety is that and where is its native origin ? Can you do a video on that plant ? How do you care for it ? What fertilizer does it need ? How often do you keep it in sunlight ? Sorry for so many questions. I’ve seen that quietly appear in many of your videos but I think it needs to be introduced to all your subscribers. Thanks

Place looks like a paradise. I think running a nursery is my calling lol. Do you happen to know the cold tolerance for Achacha?

I agree. Concerning Achacha, they are somewhat frost hardy, however, it’s the sun that will be the killer.
