    You can take the suction cup off, they're meant to be multi use. But it's also cost effective since they can but used for both. Its also meant to be a bare minimum kit after all

    I used to work with a Veterinarian who worked with exotics and really I learned a lot from her. That is where I gained my knowledge from. I like how much this young woman knows about chameleon's. She gives a LOT of excellent advise, especially what she says about the lighting and the different sized chameleons. Great video!! A++++

    I work at a petsmart and we got a veiled chameleon I myself own one and have an entire small bedroom for him to love and it costed me A LOTTTT of money and then in my room I have 2 leopard geckos and a baby crested gecko so he is in a small tank right now. But I work in pet care and i turn down many people from being the Chameleon because they want to impulse buy it then don’t want to buy what it needs or just want to shove it in a small cage, they get mad that I won’t let them buy it but I am allowed to reject customer purchases, I am the only one that does it and non of my coworkers do it but I have notes saying if they refused to by anything bigger than the recommended cage for it to refuse the sale and I ended up buying him just so I know he’d have a good life, this video was really good thank you!!

    You should tell people to just buy the screen cage itself and decorate it with things and fixtures they buy separately. I agree with you in the cons of this kit. The cage itself I think is great like you said for smaller chameleon species. They do sell bigger reptibreeze cages but themselves without the stuff in the kit that may be suitable for the larger species of chameleons. 👍🏼

    Gewels Sch These seem to be the biggest sizes that are made by Zoo-Med and probably other retail manufacturers. You can get custom made ones but they are going to cost you a lot of money. If money is no object, www.customcages.com can make you probably anything you want. It does not seem that these cages would be hard to make though. If you can find a wood that is rot resistant or maybe some kind of coating that would not harm the animal but would make the wood waterproof, all you would have to do is make a framework as tall and wide as you need it. Then you can go on Amazon and find aluminum or stainless steel screen mesh and attach that to the framework. It would probably be a lot cheaper this way to get the big size you are looking for. I made a stainless steel mesh cover for my 40 gallon breeder turtle tank because all the ones you can buy in the store eventually rust and you have to keep buying them. I got tired of it and made my own screen cover that will not rust. 👍🏼

    how to make a 28min video 30 seconds... Its too small & WAY over priced. Includes nothing useful...the bulbs are garbage and not the right kind, the carpet is the worst thing you can put in there (breeds bacteria) the vine and plant are small, sad and weak. You can buy everything proper you need online with 5 minutes of research for 1/3 the price of this "kit" or just do a little DIY set up if your handy.

    My take on the kits is if the products in the kit work fine, and you're willing to buy all the extra fixings to go along with it to make the best habitat you can for your chameleon, I think it's okay. But here's the thing: if your cham is younger, therefore smaller, you might wanna start with a kit and then just upgrade the cage in the future to suit the size of your chameleon. Overall, I think the kits are okay as long as the price is worth it instead of buying each item separately, you dress up the cage to make it a good living space for your chameleon, and if your chameleon grows, you upgrade the cage into a bigger one.

    Hey Emma love your review. I’m actually in need of a mesh enclosure for a devils giant flower mantis. Full grown they get to be maybe five inches. They also require 85-95 degrees and also humidity I’m not sure about. I think I’ve read 50 -60. I’m also concerned about the mesh. I would want to use a mesh that wouldn’t be harmful to the hooked feet that mantises have and metal/steel I think would damage there feet. The enclosure would need to be three times it length and two times the width. The reason being it needs this room when the growing process called molting takes place.

    I bought this kit at a reptile expo for $100 and I wasn’t even planning on getting a chameleon so before I buy my chameleon I bought jungle vines with many plants. At the moment it looks great but you definitely need to buy extra plants and vines(If you use this for baby chameleons it would be okay to just use the starting things it puts in there for you) the vines that come in the package do make me nervous for adult chameleons because of the weight of the chameleon and the chance of the chameleon falling. I have not yet bought my chameleon so if you have bought this package and have an adult chameleon I would love to hear how they like it! (Also don’t worry about how chameleons are not beginner pets I am aware I have many reptile that are at top health and I have done my research about owning a chameleon)

    I just purchased a juvenile vailed chameleon. And I just purchased this exact cage. I put a lot of live exotic plants and vines for him in the cage and I feed him baby crickets that I gut load and dust. and I feed him live meal worms.. I still use the uvb and heat light. Please give me some advice and tell me what I should do. Any advice would help!!! I am new and I appreciate any advice. His name is Rango.

    That’s the size I use for my young Cuban knight anole! I couldn’t imagine keeping any adult chameleons (besides maybe some of the smaller species, but even then I prefer to follow the bigger is better mindset) in that enclosure! 😧

    Yeah exactly! I used this size cage for George, but he was very small. Only 12 grams so it worked great for him. I can’t imagine It giving veileds, panthers, Jackson’s etc enough room

    Hiiii, loved this video! I just bought a baby veiled chameleon and he is sooooooo small and cute lol we added more plants and vines and he seems to really enjoy his cage .. however I have a question about the light that you’re suggesting. If you suggest the linear light, is that basically the blue light and the UVB light together ?

  • @EmmaLynneSampson

    @EmmaLynneSampson

    No, it’s only a UVB light so you need a heat bulb also
