    Just a fyi 5:08 : spring washers don't do anything. If you want to make sure that the nuts don't come loose, use a nyloc nut or some thread locker.

    Not true that they don’t do anything, they’re for anti-rattle/vibration applications usually on machinery. Nyloc are just a modern type of anti-rattle solution

    @@ashcadelanne8524 I know it seems counter intuitive, but the gist is that when the bolt is fully torqued, the washer is completely flat and acts as a regular flat washer. NASA mentions this in a document called "Fastener design manual", which is freely accessible (just search for "NASA Fastener design manual")
