Did you know coffins are taper shaped like the old movie boxes and we use straight sided caskets now. The child seats were kind of creepy.

No I didn't know that. I still had the taper shape in mind. It's certainly a bit creepy working on it. A morbid fascination in some respects.

I’m in the middle of doing my Austin a55 hearse and there’s only 4 left …… your work is really good these old hearse’s are a pain to try and fix with them been coach built mine had loads of lead weld

Hi, your A55 looks very nice, well done for saving it. What are your plans with it ? The A60 is still used for funerals but it also gets rented out for films occasionally. Not seen Lead welding on a vehicle before but I do lead loading on vehicles instead of filler or sealant sometimes. They are quite Interesting vehicles I'd say.

I’m a funeral director so I plan to hopefully use it but also show it at classic car shows

Nice job. I did think for a minute that I was listening to Keir Starmer haha! You sound quite similar. Nice old wagon. Would make a good small camper 😅

Why didn't you just repair the original door bottoms

Good question, I might have chosen to do that if the customer hadn't already bought new doors. He thought they would fit but hadn't realised they were modified for a hearse. Similar time involved with both options I would have guessed.

A place where I worked looked after a big funeral directors cars all Daimlers rotten at 2 years old we all jumped on and leaded it up , second one I refused point blank to work on it , I was all fibre glassed up .
