I like the Challenger but I don't understand why it is compared with KF-51 instead of Leopard 2A8🤔🤔

Challenger 3 is a Leo2 A7V competitioner..Rheinmetal expert said the the Challenger get lifted to A7V performance...the A8 is one step ahead because its completely new build including new chassis not only turrets

@@nagmashot 2A8 is a 2A7V with Trophy APS and FLW200 Remote Weapon Station. The problem is, that Challenger 3 is only a Leo2A7V in Challenger disguise, not something planning ahead for the future as the currently in developement Leo2A9 and KF51 are

@@zhufortheimpaler4041 wrong in every claim.... The A8 gets new designed and build chassis, new build turrets, more powerfull engine ... most specs of the A8 are not known yet.. The A8 is based on the hull of the A7+HU chassis which is different to A7V (which are simple updated oold A4, A5 6 chassis) The A8 also gets a auxillery power unit. There is no Leo2 A9 in deelopment... after the A8 comes the final version of the Leo2 the Leo2 AX after that the Leo2 has reached its end of upgrade potential

@@nagmashot dude you might want to look up what you talk about, before you post bullsht 1. No Leopard 2A8 has no new designed chassis, it has the Chassis of Leopard 2A7V. 2. The engine is an upgraded and modernised engine of Leo2. 3. Leo2 has an APU since Leopard 2A7 under armor in the rear right of the hull. 4. Leopard 2A8 is a 2A7+HU wich A7V with FLW200 Remote Weapon Station and the added Trophy APS. Its specs are known since 2023.

TheKF51 is much better protected because it has much more layer of defence ...an enough firepower to kill the CR3 at any combat range

well, Challenger 2 (and likely 3 also) is alot less protected than Leo2A8 or KF5

The British and German doctrine are completely different but the challenger does need to be replaced by a brand-new vehicle built from scratch really but Challenger 3 will work as a fill gap till that happens.

who should develope that vehicle that is then produced in very limited numbers? (like 150 vehicles) That not financially and economicly viable for a contractor. besides the UK lost its tank developement and production capabilities in the early 2000´s and today relies on Rheinmetall for that job.

Well the new tank needs to be able to deal with drones and at least 600 built.

I look at the Panther and all I see is that shot trap.

The difference between British tanks and German tanks is steel quality. All else is a matter of taste. British tanks do not suffer metal fatigue the Leopard cracks. Why? The leopard was designed to be a great tank on the range never envisaged as a real fighter. All British armoured fighting vehicles are built for war. So 30 years into their life Leo’s have strength issues in their hulls.

Lol 😂 that's why Ukrainians are fighting in Leopards while Challengers broke down before even making it to the front lines. Noone bought these built for war tanks because UK lost nearly half of them in Desert Storm -- and not due to enemy fire, but due to being cannibalized for parts to keep some tanks running because they broke down all the time. For all purposes, UK lost the capability to produce tanks -- even T-14 Armata that everyone laughs about has been produced in greater number than the total of Challenger 3's that are yet to be made. I mean no offense by the way, it just sucks what UK has come to under the current leadership. I am from Texas but always loved UK (and have UK, US, and Texas flags in my front yard). The great country is declining decade by decade.

Ukraine withdrew their Leo’s from combat after break downs and combat losses now using them as artillery. Turkey withdrew their Leo’s from combat after they had taken large losses break down and combat losses. Turkey replaced their Leo’s with the updated/upgraded by Israel M60’s. The Challenger II and the Leo’s has been shown that off road it has serious problems in the wet marshy conditions. This means it has to stay on the roads which are heavily mined by both sides and with anti tank missiles. NATO tanks were designed for defense purposes against the Warsaw Pact Nations. The only real MBT that can meet all threats are Israel line of tanks because they are designed with the anti missile systems and now the US MBT with anti missile systems and have had tons of armor added to them. The US MBT requires a long supply chain and maintenance chain to maintain their combat capabilities. The S Korean K2 is another example of what a tank needs to operate in offensive combat operations.

First of NEVER. EVER. USE. THAT. BOUNCHY ZOOM IN/OUT ANIMATION EVER AGAIN. Second the Challenger 3 is more of a stop-gap measure to catch up the current Leopard 2/Abrams versions. Its not really a jump ahead in to gen 4 tanks. Its not really in the same class as the KF51 or K2 third maybe show the correct tanks, talk about both tanks and actually get you facts right

Tanks are not to support ground operations that is an infanteers limited concept of what tanks are to be used for. They are most affective in spearheading an attack and provide direct fire for defensive operations as well as mobility in proper combined arms it is a very potent weapon system. New tactics are being developed to counter all the anti tank systems out there. So the effectiveness of tanks is still crucial in a modern army.

The 'shot traps' on the Challenger are minimal, compared to other MBTs. It saved a Ukrainian crew from a direct hit from a Russian 122mm artillery shell. I don't understand why some MBTs have the bottom part of the tuurret angled downward toward the glacius plate. Like it's not going to slightly deflect toward thinner armour?

I have to give it to the Panther, its so much more advanced at taking out somwthing further away. It can shoot 50% further away. It can move into position faster and this also gives it advantage.

don't understand the video..challenger- vs Kf-51....The video is all about the challenger-3! Like making a comparising video about a ferrari and a lamborghini, and not talking about the lamborghini.

Is the KF-51 considered an MBT?

Huge difference the KF51-PANTHER is a new tank from.the ground up while the Challenger is a updated version of a decades old tank! The Abrams X and T-Armada would be better comparisons.

France 400 Leclerc UK 150+ CR2 upgraded to CR3 now with same gun as Leo2 USA 10k M1 all with the same gun as Leo2 most of NATO ~ 3000 Leo2 all use 120mm ammo that could be used by all... means the most important and most heavy supply good is equal for all Most important 120mm ammo gets produced all across the earth from Japan, south Korea Israel to USA... even in worst case there are producer avaible out of reach for agressors If this would be a real problem NATO would have adressed this long time ago... or you belive they are lead by a bunch of idiots?

So essentially there is no comparison. Ch3 is more of the same but with a smooth ore which is less accurate at longer ranges than it's predecessor. Whereas Panther is capable of knocking out any MBT at 1000metres further than any tank can engage. And smashing any MBT with a cannon that can defeat any current MBT... Oh and then there's the loiter munitions.... No contest.

according to who...the Leo2 fires happly at ranges over 4km... and outgunned the CR2 in any NATO tank shooting by ligthyears... in term of speed and accuracy... only a single lucky hit at 5km does not makes you the most accurate tank gun in the world

that smoothbore guns are less accurate on long range is a myth. smoothbore guns rely on precise mashning, precise gun laying and stabilisation and a good FCS in combination with fin stabilised ammunition to achieve high precision on long range. (btw the effective combat range of the 120mm smoothbore is longer than the one of the L/55 rifled of CR2. maximum effective range is about 6000m for the smoothbore, for CR2 its 3500m)

T-14 Armata. it is expected that modern german and US KE ammunition (APFSDS) is no longer sufficient to reliably penetrate a vehicle with protection comparable to T-14. We can bet on it, that there is something similar in the pipeline from the chinese and that one will work unlike the T-14. So better plan ahead and develope and test the next NATO standard tank gun and prepare its integration into current systems, to be on the save side, when the chinese next gen MBT rolls of the production line.

Armor war, a 130mm will offer a better chance on the first shot, and the 130mm round gives you more accuracy. The Panther, if you ask me, is the best tank in the world upon its release.

In Bosnia & Kosovo, Challenger 2 was in peace-keeping missions, seen no combat in either of those. Used in the second Irag invasion behind US troops against the enemy beaten long time ago. The first actual combat Challenger 2 saw was in the current conflict in UA. And when he finally appeared on the battleground, did not last very long for him. Oversized, slow, underpowered sitting duck. This is very consistent with the British army, they never knew how to build a good tank, it was like that in WW2 and it is like that today.

Real life is different to video games. M1 Abrams and Challenger 2 are the only western tanks that have actually been in tank battles. Doesn't matter how much HP your tank has, if you track over a mine it will get disabled.

a 5 million quid thing easily taken out by a 500 quid drone.?
