Chakra Opening Sequence | SRMD Yoga

Chakra Yoga is a powerful medium through which we can cleanse, balance and open up the most important energy centres of the body in order to revitalise ourselves mentally and physically. The human body has seven main chakras namely Muladhara or Root Chakra, Svadhisthana or Sacral Chakra, Manipura or Navel Chakra, Anahata or Heart Chakra, Vishuddha or Throat Chakra, Ajna or Third-Eye Chakra and Sahasrara or Crown Chakra. These Chakras are powered by ‘prana’ or the life-force, which travels through the subtle body in a series of channels called ‘nadis’. The deep stretch in each pose helps create an opening in the spinal cord, clearing blocks for easy flow of prana through the nadis. This allows the ‘Kundalini’ energy to rise up and uplift the mind and body to new heights. Join us as we activate our chakras, working from the root to the crown and experience peace, purity and postivity! #SRMDYoga #Yoga

The root chakra is a constant work in progress. This practice will balance the chakra and help you ground yourself when practiced regularly. Of course, everyone’s unique and the journeys are different. But commonly, this, combined with other important and essential practises can help keep the chakra stable and balanced. Hope this helps!

Hi, You may begin with sitting in sukhasana and eventually developing into Ardha padmasana. Allow the flexibility in the hips and quadriceps to happen over time with regular yoga practice. Perhaps our short video on hip openers may help develop this flexibility. kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6h3ydqgfrbLoNI.html Hope this help
