    Stumbled onto your videos this past week, instant fan of your demeanor and your style of filming. More over, your art work is amazing. I just recently started chainsaw carving about two weeks ago, complete noob but I am 100% addicted. I attempted my first gnome last week and was less then happy with how it turned out, just looked goofy. After watching this video, I gave it another go and tried to replicate a few of your techniques and wouldn't you know it, I fell in love with carving gnomes! Wanted to throw you a quick hello and a huge thank you for the help this video provided. My gnomes did not look anywhere near as cool as yours, but man was I ever stoked with the results, was actually quite proud of what I had created.

    Hi Jeff, another great video. Those are some awesome gnomes sir. I'm going to have to do a few of these. I started doing that dry brushing you show and its made my carvings look so much better. Thank you for that. Question- You mention the saw and bar combo but what chain and chain sizes are you running on those saws? It looks like you have 3 different chains between them. The tsumura looks like maybe an .043 and the 70c looks chunkier.

  • @BigRagufromAT

    Thanks for watching! The wood is pretty dry, but some were a bit wet from being outside, 75% of them were halved in the summer and stacked in my shop,the others were kept in my heated shop for a week before torching them. Thanks again!

    👍🇺🇦 Which chainsaw is better 241 or 250?

  • @BigRagufromAT

    @BigRagufromAT

    7 ай бұрын

    There is no comparison other then they are both Chainsaws. Lol The 241 is a pro saw, and they stopped making them. The 250 has good power, but it will rattle your teeth out of your head. The 241 is smoother with crazy good power, If you can find one buy it, and you will be happy you did. The 241 is also very expensive, and the 250 is a great bang for you buck saw, meaning that its a good saw for the money. Also the filtration on the 250 or the 251 is not as good as the 251. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps

    @BigRagufromAT thank you for your help. Why did I ask for 250? Because there is no 241 in our town. I found MS 241 C-M in the online store, it is a little cheaper than 250, is it like yours? I have a 180 and I want to put a 1,3mm carving tire on it. And I understand that I a need more powerful chainsaw, so I am asking for your advice. Sorry for my English.
