Carlos is one of my all time favorites. Way back to WEC. Always root for NBK. Best prefight stink face in the game. I’d love to see him get some wins but if he is ready to stop I can support that. He’s given us so many great fights.

If he's worried about CTE he needs to retire. You can't fight your best with that in the back of your mind. He has nothing left to prove. An all time great and will be a UFC Hall of Famer.

Carlos' combos are epic already, ever since I saw him fight I try to use some of his magnificent output. One of my all time favorite fighters, he should have been champion vs Lawler.

I hope Carlos comes back like the badass he is. Should’ve been the champ when he OBVIOUSLY BEAT Robbie Lawler!

Rewatch the fight, Lawler parries and roles a lot of those punches, or Condit just straight up doesn't land. Still a close fight but quit acting like it was a robbery of any kind.

I will rewatch. My impressions when I first watched it was that Carlos defo beat him.

I don't care what anyone says, if Carlos really wants he could still have one more good run. But I do think he would really need to change something up, the Jackson-Wink camp is really great but after like more than a decade I don't think he'll be learning much anymore. It would be good change things up a little bit and go to other places to reinvent himself again. As great as a gym is, there's no gym on the planet that holds all the knowledge about the sport. Imagine him spending a camp at AKA or something, I think it would do him really good.

Chael is amazing, so insightful and talented

I love Condit he’s my favorite fighter of all time , but his weakness is on the ground , when it comes to denying takedowns or submissions he just can’t win , but his stand-up is elite and one of the greats in that regard

Just waking up, I read the video title as 'Chael Sonnen gives his opinion of Chael Sonnen' and got all excited for a moment... I now need such a video in my life. Please Chael, make it happen.

Holy crap!! : O Chael Sonnen making sense?? WTF? Lol. I actually like Chael because he's a goofball and usually puts on an act. It was nice to hear that he's a fan of Condit. Condit is also one of my favorites. Great fighter and a class act. Need more guys like him as Champion to show these other guys how to act. Much respect to Condit and Chael for telling it like it is.

Condit is my favorite fighter of all time. I wish he had better takedown defense.

Chael, I personally think Carlos Condit vs Nick Diaz II in Bellator makes a lot of sense if Carlos is truly healthy and then IF Nick wins, goes on to UFC for a rematch vs GSP with it being in San Jose, CA this time.

Carlos looked good against oliveria, he just got caught in a Choke, he made a mistake , positioning wise ..easy done in the course off a fast grappling fight, but he definitely was doing great against a younger stud

Andrew Brannen condits like 200 in fight years though. Dude made his pro debut at 18 and has been in a lot of wars.

Came here after his Win against Mcgee and goddamn I’m so stoked NBK is back and looked great

I don't think carlos is past it I think cowboy olivera is that good the sequence leading to the finish was irregular as the upkick that rocked carlos led to him operating out of survival. I think a major factor in his disappointing return might be a lack of being pressured early in sparring because that plays a part in him settling into the fight quickly.

good I'm not the only one that posted this. he was stunned by the upkick and Oliveira capitalized on it. surprised no one mentions this out of all these comment. I'm assuming Chael didn't either but I didn't watch the entire video

Carlos needs to gain muscle in the lats and thighs and hamstring to put 15 pounds on for fight day and have more punch,he has the moves .

Condit has the skills of a Jon Jones at Welterweight. If it were not for a couple breaks that did not go his way e.g. Tyron Woodley blowing out his knee, he could have a nice stay as champion. Thanks Chael.The Bad Man.

jonas mikkelsen yea buddy..... Would like to see emil expand training and work with maybe lloyd irvine, heath sims or erik paulson - world class grappling , jj or wrestling. , almost forgot about cheal sonnens quest team would be a nice place to hone his grapping skills. I think its possible for emil meek to have a good fight with niel magny or dong hyun kim as well. To get him in the rankings

majority of brain damage is caused in sparring

You don't have to be flatlined to develop CTE. Brain damage is more from accumulation of strikes than one KO.

It's not like hes getting flatlined in sparring, and he isn't the sort of guy that takes that much damage in fights anyway, he's fine for another 3 years atleast.

I'm comparing him to other fighters like Alistair Overeem who has been knocked out like 15 times and still fights. He still is smart and plays it safe when he has too, take the Nick Diaz fight for example.
